Her eyes fluttered slowly as she tried to stand up from the bed she was lying on. She could hear the birds chirping already. Her room window was open and she could feel the morning breeze blowing coolly on her skin. She tried to open her eyes wider but something hit her painfully. "Ouch! Arrrrrrggg" She winced as her head felt like it was suddenly banged against something solid. Not just her head but her ears were buzzing nonstop. What happened to her? Why was she having a freaking migraine this early?

Mattheo, he couldn't have done this to me. "Who... are you?" I asked, with difficulty. The commotion started again the second I finished my question. It came from the Doctors who suddenly made our hand grips slip. "Oh, no. Nick! She had another nosebleed!" "Damn it." Nosebleed... ah, apparently that's the cause. What made them so panicked was that I had a nosebleed. It seems to be true. My illness can no longer be ignored. Nosebleed, could it be that the bleeding in my brain couldn't be stopped enough by taking medicine alone?

Judging by the copious blood flowing from my nose, I must have looked like a character from a crime scene. "Yes," I managed to reply through clenched teeth, my eyes brimming with tears – a common reaction when anger overwhelmed me. Mrs. Haggadah dampened the rag and began gently cleaning the blood from my face. She then dipped Q-tip ends into the warm water, carefully tending to the blood inside my nostrils. Afterward, she handed me two pieces of balled-up toilet paper, which I inserted into each nostril, tilting my head upward to stanch the bleeding.

His heart felt hot and humid, as though it was summer after a downpour. "Let me see it." Rosalyn ran toward Jim and held his hand, studying his nose. She took out a piece of tissue to wipe away the blood from his nose, her eyebrows knitted together as she did. "Do you feel anything else apart from your bleeding nose? Does your head hurt?" Jim looked at Rosalyn's worried eyes, and his own eyes narrowed.

It does not right at all. My head became feeling halo. I feel so heavy and dizzy. My nose starts to become red and I sneeze. I think I may have runny nose, but this is all the thing that happen to me so far since I was young. I only sneeze and having runny nose when I inhale sweats. "Hey, you okay?" Icki said but I just shake my head to say no to Icki. I do not want to speak a word, even one word. It makes me feel so burn out.

I wake up with a throbbing headache. The migraine feels like it’s about to explode inside my skull. My eyes feel heavy, but I force myself to get up, stumbling to the bathroom to do my morning routine. I splash cold water on my face, trying to shake off the drowsiness that still clings to me.

I rush to the bathroom, rinsing the blood away from my nose and wiping every stain that would give me away. It takes a while for the blood to be completely rinsed off, as it kept pouring even as I kept rinsing. If I avoid every hit to my head, it should slow down the illness, but how come all I feel is pain and discomfort? I don’t think it’s slowing down at all. I can’t imagine what would happen if I were punched in the head; it’s probably going to be my last straw, damaging my brain to the point of no repair, until I can’t breathe anymore.

I'd never had one before. Inside my room, I headed straight for the bathroom, grabbing tissues to stop the bleeding. In the mirror, my reflection looked pale, almost ghostly, dark circles pronounced under my eyes. The nosebleed stopped after a few minutes, but the headache intensified, pounding behind my eyes. I swallowed two pain relievers, hoping they would help, and collapsed onto my bed fully clothed. Sleep evaded me despite my exhaustion. My mind kept replaying the day's events—Ivan's focused attention, Avalon and Kaelen's cryptic conversation, the basketball fiasco that had shattered my one safe haven.
