Ruby chided again. "Shut, calm down; I'm fine." Noah placed his index finger in front of Ruby's lips. After getting the results from the doctor, there was nothing wrong with Noah. The doctor also allowed Noah to be treated as an outpatient, as long as his nose didn't bleed anymore.

With Maddie's help, she struggled to stand upright. The sight of her punched me in the gut. My stomach lurched at the sight of the blood trickling down the side of her head and out of her ears. She also had a nose bleed and tears filled her eyes that she tried to blink away as she stared back at me, her gaze, unflinching.

To ground myself, as well as feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness, I reached for Lucas's hand. The unfamiliar sensation of being so high up in the sky made my ears pop, and I squeezed his hand for comfort. He shot me a reassuring smile, understanding the mix of emotions churning within me. Tears filled my eyes i'mmediately while my ears rung piercely in my head. I absentmindedly wondered whether my nose wasn't broken.. it sure hurt like hell. I reeled back but then before I could gather myself, bright lights all of the sudden flashed in my vision only for a second then a white cloth was slapped on my face. It blocked off my nose, mouth and eyes.

I glanced up at him. I sniffed. In that moment, I felt it: my nose was spilling; my eyes were burning. My head was banging. “Oh, god!” I gasped, stepping back. My hand slapped over my nose and mouth, and I pulled it back, staring at my slick palm. “How…,” I breathed. I moved to the sink and spent a full minute with my face under the rushing tap. I blew my nose, rinsed my eyes, my mouth, even splashed the back of my neck.

My glasses had slipped down my nose again from the sudden movement, and everything was slightly blurred around the edges. "Stop it, okay? Liam is just a friend," I said, turning towards Caleb who had now retracted his fists and moved his hand to his nose. The words felt like sandpaper in my mouth, rough and uncomfortable. Caleb's nose was already starting to swell, and a little blood seeped through his fingers despite his attempts to stem the flow. His shirt was ruined, dark stains spreading across the light fabric.

Judging by the copious blood flowing from my nose, I must have looked like a character from a crime scene. "Yes," I managed to reply through clenched teeth, my eyes brimming with tears – a common reaction when anger overwhelmed me. Mrs. Haggadah dampened the rag and began gently cleaning the blood from my face. She then dipped Q-tip ends into the warm water, carefully tending to the blood inside my nostrils. Afterward, she handed me two pieces of balled-up toilet paper, which I inserted into each nostril, tilting my head upward to stanch the bleeding.

He laughed scornfully and I began to feel pain in my ears. "Gosh! It hurts." I groaned. His laughters didn't stop. Rather it increased and I fell on my knees. I reached out to my ears and I felt the warm red substance. My ears were bleeding. "Stop, please!" I pleaded. "You can't stop me!" He laughed evily. "Stop, please!" I yelled. "Steve!" I forced my eyes open and sat up in shock. My whole body was covered in sweat. My hands shivered. I touched my ears with my fingers. I brought my hands forward in front of my eyes. There was no blood! I sighed shakily in relief.

Elara’s POV Donna hovered around me, her face covered in concern. “I am so sorry. Let me see.” I waved her away and snapped my dislocated nose back into place. “I’m fine. It will heal in a second.” But more importantly… “What was that?” I asked her. “How was the water hard enough to dislocate my nose?” Donna watched my nose in horror as the swelling disappeared, replaced by a soft redness. “I don’t know what that was. It felt like I blanked there for a second.”

I think he thinks I'm mute now. "Good morning Ms. Brewer. What brings you in to-" The doctor stopped short as he looked up from the chart with my information. "Oh my." He grabbed the rolling stool sitting in front of me, inspecting my nose carefully. "What happened?" He looked at the guy beside me. "I wasn't looking and I opened the door hard, hitting her in the face. It was an accident I swear!" He told him. "Well, good news is your nose doesn't look broken. We'll get it cleaned up. Are you hurt anywhere else?"
