Kara I blink my eyes back, feeling a searing pain near my chest. Agony courses through me, intensifying with each beat of my heart. Goddess, that hurt. My eyes peer open, struggling against a blinding light that engulfs my surroundings. The air is mysteriously silent, devoid of any sound or movement.

Tears blurred my vision, my heart pounding in my ears. “How…?”

I say, crying.

I watch him sit up on the bed looking at me like I have grown two heads. "Who are you? And….. what are you doing in my bed?" I ask him quickly and stammer a bit.
