Felix felt his heart beating so fast that he could hear his heartbeat in his ears. He walked back to his security room and standing by the bed. His hand on his chest. What is happening!??

He seized me, his hand clamping around my throat, slamming me against the wall with brutal force. The suffocating pressure swallowed me whole, sharp pain pricking my chest like a thousand needles. That look in his eyes—it was the same as in my last life, the same gaze he had thrown at me countless times. "Let go…" I clawed at his arm with every ounce of strength. His hand twitched under the pain, then he flung me aside. The impact sent me crashing to the ground, but in that instant, I saw his hand twitch forward on reflex, only for him to clench it tight and yank it back, leaving nothing but venomous hatred burning in his gaze.

Unconsciously tears start to slip from my eyes and my heart rate spikes, evident by the steady beeping of the heart rate monitor changing to rapid irregular beeps. "Mom, t-th-ey had her." I choke out through the craze of tears and sniffles.

The pulsing slowed, the rhythmic beating growing fainter with each passing second. The heart shriveled, its vibrant hue fading to a sickly grey, until finally, it stilled, the last vestiges of life extinguished.

I kept praying with my head down low. I was snapped out from my thoughts and felt my heart skipping a beat as soon as I saw America’s heartbeat raising to fifty, sixty until it was gradually increasing which caused me to cry even more. I was crying out of happiness as I kept thanking God for another chance he had given us. I kept kissing her hand and felt relieved seeing my wife’s heartbeat over the monitor starting to normalize.
