He said awkwardly, brushed his hands at the back of his shorts, then doubled his steps away from her as fast as possible, so he could get back into his house. Leaving the girl in pains and tears, with a continually gapping hole, boring through her chest. It was right there and then, that Beth knew she had had her first heart break.

It seemed like every light on the ground floor was on and from one of the rooms off the main corridor, she heard the sounds that she would never get used to no matter how long she lived in this house.
