He stumbled forward, hands trembling as he picked up the envelope. The flap wasn't sealed, and he tipped it upside down, spilling crisp bills over the white sheets. Not too much, and not too little. Just enough to pay him back, even accounting for inflation and interest, calculated to perfection. He fumbled for his phone, dialing her number with shaking hands. "The number you have dialed is no longer in service…" No one picked up. Then, he called his assistant, voice hoarse and on the verge of breaking, "Find Tanya! Use every resource we have, and search the airports, train stations, and the docks! Find her!'

Inside, a single green bottle glowed. "The star-baby left us a present," she said, smile sharp as glass. "A new drug. We call it ‘Heaven.’ One drop, and you live in the White Room forever—no pain, no hunger, no death. And the best part? People are lining up to buy." A chill ran through Maya. She glanced at the city: silent houses, a world running on fumes. "You’re going to turn the whole world into a dream," Maya said, horror in her voice.

He watches me for a moment before speaking again. “Dante said a doctor will be here in about an hour to check you over,” he begins, sitting across from me. His expression is unreadable, but there’s a calm patience in his voice. “Look, the easiest way to explain this is bluntly. I won’t sugarcoat it, but it’s not as bad as it might sound.” I nod slowly, bracing myself. “This place is called Heaven and Hell,” he says. “Heaven is a standard nightclub—drinks, music, dancing. Hell is a strip club, lap dances, that sort of thing.” He pauses, watching my reaction.

“What?” “You humans call it heaven” He said it so casually. "Heaven?" "Yes, the heaven you know, gods, spirits...the usual. Well, at least, one of the Heavens you know.” He paused and sipped again. “We’ll get to the seven heavens and circles later.” I looked at him in shock, he was too deep in thought to notice me.. this can't be happening..... gods, spirits, what next? Vampires? "Oh don't worry, vampires are completely cool to hang with"

Heaven had been staring without attempting to join them in the bed. Her two-year-old daughter had been like that. Never smiled since she was born, never been happy nor sad, but could easily be offended. Her nature on the side of emotions was different from a human’s and even a creature's. Heaven was different. Meanwhile, Eaven was the perkiest, chirpy, and most playful baby she'd ever seen.

I call again and this time he answers. "Yes?" Comes in an inpatient voice. At the sound of his voice I grin like an idiot, slump on the bed with the phone still pressed to my ear. "Hello?" He says irritatedly and I remember I have to say something otherwise he will hang up. "Hi, it's me." I say, not caring that I sound like the biggest idiot on the planet. "You who?" He sounds annoyed but I know he knows who exactly he's talking to. "Sky, it's me Heaven and you know it."
