Fat, red candles positioned strategically, lit up the tent with their dull, flimsy flames. Helga was a very odd woman. “Did you get it?” she asked as she discarded her scarf that had been wrapped around her shoulder. My heart pounded, “Then tell me about them, please.” She paused and after a while, she reached into her robes and pulled out a small, ancient amulet. It shimmered faintly with a blue glow. “This belonged to your father,” Helena said. “He said it had ancient magic in it”
