The ground beneath our paws thudded as we ran, the scent of pine and damp earth filling our sensitive noses. As we entered the dense foliage, we felt the claws of our pursuers closing in. Our wolves exchanged a glance, determination flickering in our eyes. We needed a plan. A hidden cave provided the shelter we sought. Blood dripped from our fur as we huddled in the darkness of the cave, our laboured breaths echoing against the cool walls. Wounded and battered, we knew we couldn't keep up the fight much longer.
