One officer asked, “Do you have any witnesses or evidence to support both your accusations?” Laura suddenly dropped to her knees and crawled toward me. “Felix, you can testify for me, right? If Anthony weren’t afraid that I’d discover the deceased was my mom, why would he destroy my mom’s face? Why would he hide all the information about her at the funeral? I even told you to deliver that thank-you bouquet to him. That proves he was the one who performed the surgery!”

Lexi yelped quietly, causing me to quickly turn my attention to her. She let out a little laugh, apologizing when a huge rat ran past us. I shook my head. "I mean it might have," She answered. "That would definitely explain why they were so accessible to the killer, why there had been no need for weapons and why they hadn't put up a fight." She said, sounding like she was crossing things off an invincible list. "But that would mean that there's more than just one killer. I mean they couldn't all have been close to the same person, right?"

I was already done putting a shirt on and was about to put on a short when I felt a cold hand touch my arms. " Oh my gosh! Clyde! You scared me to death!" I squeal, turning around to face him. Yeah, The jerk got his trademark smirk on his lips again. Looks like he was finally done with his meeting. "I'm sorry Kitten if I startled you, it's just that your body is here but your mind is elsewhere. You didn't even hear me knock twice on the door, so I decided to bring you out of your reverie. " He laughed a little before questioning me but this time he was scanning my face and he looked so serious.

He said to me, “Okay, sir.” I replied, silently. “Come with me,” Kate pulled my attention. I walked behind her, as we headed to her room. As soon as we got in, she sat on the bed. “Lock the door,” she ordered, I did so. “Change of motive. Your goal isn't to run. It's to run him into the ground.” I blinked. What? “Why is there a change of motive?” “There is absolutely no way Lucas can find a way back to me, and my child. I need him to be run into the ground, and be destroyed.”

The killer’s identity is currently unknown, though authorities insist they have several leads that they are following. Bull. Shit. They had ‘several leads’ on the Preying Mantis case, also, but none of them went by the name of Sarah Killian. They just always have to say that they have several leads, so that it looks like they are in control of the situation. Also, I suspect they hope it will make the killer nervous, so he’ll make a stupid mistake. I suppose that kind of tactic works on a lot of serial killers, but not the kind who end up working for THEM—which is why, I guess, there’s only thirteen of us.

Scott and Tom immediately ran to the back porch and when they got there, Katie was seen crouching near the splash of blood that was quite a lot. “Scott, look. This blood splatter is still new. Could someone be targeting Bert? Could it be that the mastermind behind your father's murder attempted to kill him too?” Katie asked. "It's most likely like that. I found Bert's notes which contained a few clues about the brains behind all this. He's inside the High Court headquarters and has a snake tattooed on his chest?” replied Scott. Katie was taken aback and she immediately stood up, looked at her two friends with a serious look, and said, “Really?”

Zack explained but Harris was quite confused. "Human Flayer? What do you mean?" He asked. "14 years ago, there was a popular serial murder case called the Flayer Murder case. The culprit was called The Flayerman. The case was titled Flayer Murder case because all the victim's corpses were discovered without furs. Flayerman would flay his victims alive after torturing them and rendering them helpless and defenseless and then he'd use the flayed furs to make garments and cashmere which he'd sell to the families of the victim." Zack exclaimed.

He promised as he left. Their racous laughter echoed in his ears. * * * Nick got to his desk at the precinct and plopped himself into his chair. Two members of his pack, Camille and Eve had been found dead with their throats slit. The pack had concluded that it was the lycanthrope hunter that was behind the murders and had hounded Nick to act. Nick felt guilty about their death because both girls had been teenagers. They had been murdered on their way back from school.

Let me guess, you put a hit on my parents too, didn’t you?” She started laughing menacingly. “It was satisfying.” That’s all she said, and it was more than enough. “A confession is one thing; now, how about we talk about your motives? Hunters don’t attack unless they feel like their territory is being invaded. My parents weren’t invading, and neither were newborn pups. So what was your motive, Cherise?” I asked calmly. “Cherise, you killed a girl and her parents? You kidnapped this woman?” Diljit asked.
