My New Neighbour

My New Neighbour

I wondered. I walked slowly towards the window with my arms wrapped around me. I grabbed the window handles to pull them back to close it but I stopped midway when I noticed the lights next door. Who could that be? The house beside us was empty for over a year. I squinted and could actually see the inside of the room through the window adjoining mine. Like seriously, I could strangle the guy who constructed these houses like that. So damn close! Anyway, we finally got some new neighbours. What an odd time to move in though, I couldn't help but think. I just hope they would be nice. My parents could have some pals.

Vette
Will there be a second book? I noticed the author doesn’t comment on anything so I’m gonna guess and say no that the readers don’t seem to matter with zero interaction from the author.. good book though.

I so enjoyed reading this and am so excited to start the second one. This novel was very well written and kept me interested. I like happy endings and the threat of revenge still is something to be aware of. The writer of this story is very talented

Adam came to visit

Adam came to visit

«That would only work if you have his number» Walter, who had been waiting silently with me stewing because I didn't want to play fetch with him, rose on his paws, his tail wagging excitedly. My aunt parked her gleaming red 2017 Hyundai accent beside my beat-up green 2010 Kia soul. The juxtaposition of the two distracted me briefly before my mind returned to the matter at hand.

Runaway To My Alpha Brother-In-Law

Runaway To My Alpha Brother-In-Law

[--Kaiser Volkov--] Will doesn’t need me to overlook the gates, the men building the compound don’t need me breathing down their necks. So when Martha calls to tell me that her next-door neighbor needs someone to drive her to the hospital and asks if I can help her buy some eggs and flour since she can’t do it anymore, I obviously say yes.

Luna’s Human Second Chance Mate

Luna’s Human Second Chance Mate

I motioned to her that I would be back as I stalked to a corner of the room to pick up the call. "Hello?" I called out, barely out of earshot from the woman I'd just left behind. Silence followed from the other side of the line and I took a second look at the phone just to confirm I'd actually picked up the phone call. " Hello?" "Hey." Someone's voice finally came through. It was so soft and tiny it made me wonder how I'd actually heard her in the first place. " Santiago?" "Hey, Martha." I chipped in. " What's wrong?"

Reborn to Love and Luxury.

Reborn to Love and Luxury.

Following Maricela's gaze, her mother noticed a woman standing at the gate, smiling at Maricela. "Maricela, is this your mother?" Carissa walked up to Maricela, held her hand, and greeted Maricela's mother, "Hello, Auntie." Although Maricela's mother had never seen Carissa before, witnessing her proximity to Maricela and her immediate welcoming of Maricela's return made her assume they were very close friends.

The Neighbor’s Cat Destroyed His Lies

The Neighbor’s Cat Destroyed His Lies

Her once-rounded belly had shrunk, and her eyes hollowed with sickly pallor. Suddenly, I remembered that long-lost Ragdoll cat. “What are you here for? “Julian must have told you. The apartment next door that he gave you was purchased with marital assets. It’s now been awarded to me. “You have no right to stay there anymore.” Ivy’s eyes no longer held their former superiority or defiance. She knelt before me and pleaded. “Clara, please don’t misunderstand! I’m not here to cause trouble. I’m here begging for help!

The Man I Should Have Hated

The Man I Should Have Hated

All I had to do was stay out of the way of the teeth. Three hours until Elliot arrived. I looked at the clock. And my phone buzzed — not the anonymous number. A number I didn't recognize at all. A single image. No message. I opened it. Mara. Sitting in what looked like a hotel room, a newspaper in her lap, her face pale and still. Alive. Clearly alive. But on the newspaper's front page, visible enough to read, was today's date. And written across the bottom of the image in what looked like her own handwriting: *They know about tonight. Don't use the service entrance.*
