Nobody. Time is up. The party has just get started and hazel got up. "It's time now, let's go. If we keep them waiting for us he's going to scold us again." She was so helpless, that she couldn't do anything for her daughters sake. All she could do is to hope that the man they found was really reliable and good man.

After The Storm.

After The Storm.

Her gaze was clouded with tears yet she decided to try for once again and started stepping back, dragging herself away from them, while scratching her ass in the sand. ------------- "Helplessness is such a rotten feeling. There's nothing you can do about it. Being helpless is like being paralysed. It's sickness. The cure calls for a Monumental effort to stand up and Start walking somewhere, anywhere. But that takes some doing."" --Unknown.

Rejected And Chased By The Alpha

Rejected And Chased By The Alpha

I know she is the cause, but there is nothing I or she can do about it because we are all in the mess together and none of us can save ourselves! "I'm sorry.” A stupid tear trickles down my face, causing me to feel sick. I aggressively wipe it off as I step closer to her. "I don’t know; I’m sorry. I just feel so sick that we are in this mess and no one can save us. I’m fucking helpless and weak, and I hate that I can’t do anything about it. I hate that I’m so helpless; it makes me want to stab my heart every fucking time."I cry, wiping the tears continuously as they flow down my cheek.

My Luna my bride

My Luna my bride

“My son might be weak but I am not” I felt a deep sense of helplessness wash over me, like a drowning swimmer caught in a relentless current, struggling to stay afloat amidst the tumultuous waves of her scorn. I had never asked for this life, never sought out the complexities and heartaches that now threatened to engulf me in their unforgiving embrace.

Alpha Alec's Redemption

Alpha Alec's Redemption

“Come one, I really need you.” Once again, I get no answer, which just frustrates me more. I’m confused and scared, and for some weird reason, I feel like crying. I feel like a failure. Like I failed someone or some people. My heart feels heavy with feelings I can’t describe. I was okay yesterday. Sure, I was stressed and worn out, but that was the extent of it. I didn’t feel like my heart was weighed down like it was right now. The feeling of helplessness and hopelessness engulfs me. Washing over me. Drowning me in its tight and unwanted embrace.

Are you doing alright? As a fan, I'm truly concerned & hope everything is well. Whether it's new projects, balancing work & life, writer's block, or simply a lack of interest in the book or app, I hope it all resolves smoothly. For many of us, the concern is genuine. Please let us know if you're ok.

The Mark

The Mark

"I'm sorry sir. I can't even begin to comprehend how you're feeling right now. Is there someone you want me to call? Your brother perhaps?" "Actually, that would be great." I reply staring at the ground. I felt absolutely helpless. Both Haley's and my daughter's lives were in jeopardy and there was nothing I could do. I so badly wanted to help them, but I knew there was nothing I could do. This by far had to be one of the worst feelings in my life. A few minutes later, I see Zach running down the hallway towards me. I stand up as he approaches me. He pulls me into a giant bear hug, and I feel myself collapse. Zach holds me in a firm embrace.

Unholy: My Saint Mate

v. Fear... An emotion, I never thought I'll feel again, but today I did. And I never wanted to feel like that again, that helplessness. The realization that I'm useless, I have no power against that urge inside of me. How can I even think like that, How can the blood of my own daughter make me... fuck, was years of restraining, years of praying did nothing?

Frequently Asked Questions

I really found myself reflecting on how 'Helpless' handles the power dynamics between characters and how that ties into vulnerability. It's not just about people being sad or weak, the way the story strips away each character's sense of security is methodical. For instance, the protagonist's initial competence and control are shown to be complete illusions, built on a shaky foundation they didn't even realize was there. The author spends a lot of time making you comfortable with a certain status quo before dismantling it brick by brick. That slow-burn loss of control made me feel genuinely uneasy in a way horror novels often don't—it was less about a monster jumping out and more about the floor dissolving under your feet.

What struck me most was how vulnerability became a shared language. As the plot progressed, characters who started off guarded or antagonistic were forced into situations where their survival depended on revealing weaknesses to each other. It flipped the script on typical power fantasies. There's a particular scene where the strongest character physically has to rely on someone they'd previously dismissed, and the resentment mixed with gratitude is written so rawly. The book suggests that accepting help, that state of being 'helpless,' is sometimes the only path to regaining any semblance of agency, which is a paradox I'm still chewing on.

The control aspect is mirrored in the narrative structure itself, with shifting perspectives that limit what the reader knows. You're as in the dark as the characters, which creates this immersive vulnerability. I finished the last page feeling like I'd been through an emotional wringer, but also with a weird sense of clarity about how tightly we all cling to our own little illusions of control in everyday life.
