I was excited to see the final creation, and I know Ed would love to see it all come together, too. Aunty Shay picked up a fine art brush, dripped it in the small pot of ink beside her and steadily painted the first golden, brown line on the back of Bennu's hand. Aunty Shay worked fast, but her brushwork was extraordinary, very detailed, covering Bennu's entire hand before moving and partway up her wrist in henna paint. It was fascinating to watch the creation build upon itself.

Incense burned a sweet odour but it was masked by the ink scent. A shelve of scrolls filled with varieties of designs was at a corner and the marking equipments were already prepared for use. “My queen.” The marking artist bowed in greetings. Her hair was jet black with streaks of grey in them, she had fine smile wrinkles and warm brown eyes. Ilena was amazed by the amount of markings on her exposed skin, there was almost no patch of skin that was left undone! “Your markings are beautiful.” She said in awe. Hanna, the marking artist smile warmly and opened up the scroll in her hands. “These are the new unreleased designs I have, you’re the first person to lay eyes on them.”

Without opening his eyes, Nathan frowned slightly and said, "Don't show it to me. It'll only hurt my eyes." "So you do know that it taints the eyes!" yelled Samuel. His eyes were about to go blind! What's with these young girls lately with all their idol chasing and dirty drawings! When Samuel left, he took Hilda's "little hobby" along with him. The little yellow book was privately printed and not publicly issued. There wasn't any information about the publishing house, but it only had the artist's name on the cover page.

I was so shocked I really didn't know what to say Traditionally ,when henna is applied to especially the bride ,the name if the groom is written somewhere in the design and the groom have to look for his name until he finds it ,so for us who were not married you could only write the letter of your name or nothing at all and now another letter was written with henna in my palms Not good at all ! "I said you write A not D" I said in panic "Oh I'm sorry Anushka I'll chance that " The woman who was doing my design said apologetically..She was already done anyway and the henna had already dried up.. If she would try to change that she would only mess the beautiful design

“It’s more complicated than my stories.” The older woman stared at her for so long that she squirmed. “More complicated than your books? That’s something, since all your stories are twisty,” Leah said. A smile landed on Hana’s lips. Asides from her kid sister, Leah was the only one she allowed to read the words she bled into paper.
