Derrick's eyes were nearly bored, as if he couldn't wait for this show to be over with. My eyes darted towards Phil. I knew he didn't care but if I had to choose which of their three faces would be the last one I ever saw, Phil seemed like the less worse choice. He was frozen in spot, staring at the gun in Henry's hand. He preferred his life over mine, hence why he didn't move a muscle. He knew this is how people like us were bound to die one day. I knew it too. Henry let out a hoarse laugh. "Looks like you'll be seeing Cole sooner than you anticipated. Any last words?"

Merrick continued, drawing their bodies closer. Mr. Hawthorne waited, his mind racing to figure out what Mr. Merrick would do next. Suddenly, a movement at his chest startled him. Reflexively, he looked down and found the tip of a gun pointed directly at his chest. “Then you must die, Kinsley Hawthorne.” The sound of the gunshot erupted. The bullet flew in a brief and inevitable moment, piercing directly through the center of Mr. Hawthorne’s chest. Sharp pain followed, spreading throughout his body. His eyes widened, and he slowly stepped back before being supported by Thomas.

*Third Person's POV* "It's been over two months since Henry was reported dead, and according to the news that came out, it was the men that were working for him that plotted against him and killed him, and afterwards they ran away with all the money he was keeping with him since he couldn't go to the bank to deposit or withdraw money because he was declared wanted.

Right after leaving the banquet hall, I received a notice from the hospital telling me that Henry had died. My intelligent, mature son was only eighteen years old, and he was gone from the world forever. That realization made me cry so much that I almost fainted. Henry just wanted to lessen the financial burden of the family, but he had ended up with a cracked head and a torn-up stomach. He could not even die with a full body intact. His final request had been to see his own father before dying, but that man was too busy throwing a celebration party for the son of a dead comrade.

“Sometimes, death comes to those who order it and to those who expect it last.” Then she and her men walked away, their silhouettes swallowed by the night and the stench of diesel and fear. The yard was left with the scent of gunpowder and the soft, desperate noises of men trying to recover their pride.

That usually meant two things, one, whoever was after Xavier Anderson was extremely powerful or two, it was a last minute hit job. Definitely option one, with this being one of many deaths I concluded that the person after Xavier was very powerful. I let out a breath they had not even realized I was holding in. "Holy Shit that was close!" I am just glad I had not stepped on anyone's toes yet. I knew I would have to eventually but for now I would prefer to lay low.

"We were masked up. No visible cameras. The stairwell was empty when we exited. Henry didn’t make it." I turned to him at that. "Henry didn’t make it?" Bull nodded, grim. "Got clipped by the driver the inside man. We took him down, but Henry bled out before we could load him in." "Any witnesses?" "None that can tie it to us." I looked to Dante. "You confirm?" "Yeah. It was clean, boss. Fast." Henry was dead. Another body on my hands. One I hadn’t planned for. I breathed through my nose, pushing it down. Not now.

I didn’t waste any time; I called Nate right now. “NATE!! DID YOU SEE THE FUCKING NEWS!!” I screamed. There was a pause on the phone. I knew he had to collect himself from internal bleeding. “Okay. Now that I could hear again. Calmly tell me,” he said. "Dude, Henry is dead!"

“What?!” The Xanders were shocked and their eyes widened in surprise. ‘Adrian single-handedly killed his way into Dream City?!’ Cecilia asked anxiously, “What happened next?” Leonard inhaled a deep breath and said, “Afterward, Daniel arrived with a troop of Battle Warrior Department personnel. Richie then admitted to causing Henry’s death and was hence executed on the spot. “His head has been placed on Henry’s headstone as an offering.” Harold grew restless from the shock and his body shook. He had always assumed that his youngest son died from contracting an illness. He had not expected there to be a scheme behind Henry’s death.
