He brushed past him without a word. “William,” Henry called after him, his voice sharp and accusing. “You’re really going to turn your back on this family for a woman?” William stopped and looked back. They were brothers and shared a certain resemblance, with sharp features and the same steady eyes. Henry, however, had taken after their father more. He was more than twenty years older, and faint lines had already formed at the corners of his eyes, giving him a heavier, more weathered look. “I just want a peaceful life,” William said quietly. “But you people won’t leave me alone.”

While talking to old Henry, William glanced at the man behind him, William gulping his saliva as he wondered in his mind, "Robert Henry codrington and Alexander...what is this fateful day?" Old Henry adjusts his monocular and says, "I have orders for you." William nodded and said, "What are the orders, sir?" Old Henry smiled sarcastically as he said, "Be easy on you boy, act as if you see ghosts in front of you.. Everyone here are your childhood friend , and I , you used to call me Grandpa." As Old Henry said, Alexander was William's childhood friend, and Henry himself was like William's grandfather when he was training in martial arts as a child, with Old Henry being his coach.

I try to move but Xavier tightened his grip on my shoulder. "Stay." He whispered harshly in my ear and turned to Henry. "Like I said she's not your slave, if you want to order someone, order one of your dump followers." "Who the hell do you think you are to talk to me like that?" Henry snarled. "Xavier Hunter." He replied simply. "I can talk to you however I want, you're not some god that I will bow down and respect. Oh and not all people that wears glasses are nerds."

Alex leans forward and asks in a firm tone, “You’ve been married twice, just like Olivia. Can you tell us more about that?” Henry doesn’t flinch at the question. Instead, he takes a deep breath before speaking up. “Yes, I’ve been married twice. My first wife was a wonderful woman, but she passed away from cancer. After some time, I remarried—not for love, but to help a woman in need. She had been in an abusive relationship and had a young son. Tragically, she also passed away a few years ago due to illness. I have two sons—one is my biological son, and the other is my stepson. We’re close, and I’ve done my best to support them.”

This continued for a few runs before Henry who was silent till now spoke up with a smile “I’m afraid sir, that won’t be answered no matter how many times you try” “What makes you so sure?” Garret asked in a mocking tone. Mr Henderson and his CEO were best mates, and he would never refuse him. “Because the other half of my name is Henderson” Henry spoke in a neither arrogant nor servile tone. Garret “” Dana and the team also looked at Henry with a shocked expression. ‘The calm, laid-back, humble lass was the son of the most revered lawyer in the country with a record of never failing in court even if his client had iron clad evidence against him?’

Henry growled back, his wolf taking a defensive stance. “Isn’t it obvious?” Eric asked. “Men like Henry only care about one thing… getting the throne. Your Enigma baby prevents him from doing that.” Xaden growled again, his wolf surging, only stopping because Lucas was inserting himself between the brothers. His wolf understood that Lucas was not a threat and was family, but all he could see when he looked at Henry was a threat to his mate, and he only knew one thing… he had to eliminate that threat. “I wasn’t after Maeve, I was after her baby,” Henry hissed as if that made it any better.
