He didn’t move for a moment, his eyes lingering, as if making sure she was safely inside.
Jeff cleared his throat softly. “Boss, we should go. You still have the two o’clock meeting.”
Thirdie nodded once; his expression was unreadable.
“Let’s go.”
As their car pulled away from the curb, the air inside felt heavier. Thirdie leaned back, eyes on the road ahead.
“The bodyguards I assigned to her,” he said suddenly, his tone low and serious. “Are they still in position?”
“Yes, sir,” Jeff replied quickly. “Two are inside the building disguised as staff, and one shadow is following her outside. They’ve been keeping their distance, but they’re watching closely.”
