I walked to the door and punched the code in before the mechanical buzzing of the door, echoed softly and I pushed it open.
After I came back, I moved out of my old place and rented a house two doors next to Kia’s. My old place was the street uptown and was walkable but I just wanted to stay close to someone I know.
