I helped Harry get the ice pack on his ankle and I was just about to go to the other side of the car, to sit at the back with him when Harper stood at the door. “I’ll sit with him,” she said. “No,” I said, “you should sit at the front.” “I was a girl scout,” she said, “I want to help him put the right amount of pressure on his ankle so that it doesn’t swell too much,” she added. I waved goodbye, giggling, and slipped out of sight around the corner. Harry approached Hermione from behind and gave her a gentle shoulder rub. "I'm heading to the area of mystery. meet up with you after you check out?" She answered, "Sure," she said, shutting the book before choosing a different one. "I'm almost done here." With a final friendly squeeze of her shoulder, he added, "Okay, see you in a bit," and she left. I approached the queue ten minutes later, carrying a bundle of paper books beneath my arm. Hermione's eyebrow shot up.

I reached out to the mini bar, grabbing a bottle of scotch and a glass, and suddenly noticed the presence of someone staring at me from behind a corner. “Hey brother, can't you sleep?” It was Hermione, her hair scattered like someone who had been pulled out of a plane wreckage. “Tell me about it.” I replied, fetching another glass for her. “Do you care?” I asked, waving a glass at her. She reached out for it. “You bet I do.” I served myself and sat on one of the sofas, directly facing the television. She did the same and came to sit beside me, tucking herself in between her arms while placing her head on my chest.
