“I… I would like to announce a very unfortunate piece of news.” The words came out low and forced. For the first time, hesitation flashed in my eyes. For a moment, I wanted to stop. But thinking about Leo—about how I had failed him—I couldn’t bring myself to do it. My stomach churned. I broke my promise to him when I told him I would take him to the snow festival. Would I also break this promise to let the pack pay their last respect to him? My heart twisted at the weight of my broken promises.

The sound of rain swallowed her words, carrying them into the night — a quiet promise, and a warning. The dawn would come again. And this time, it wouldn’t break her. It would break them.

He knew that he never cared for the girl and he also knew that he loved Liza with all his heart. He had once promised Liza that he would never let her go, that he will do whatever it takes to keep her for eternity and then he had gone ahead and lost her for some girl he didn’t even care about. I would be only his ,that today he would mark me. We will go to our parents and convince them to negotiate with the neighbouring castle or we will just elope. Leaving this life behind, starting a new life and creating a kingdom of our own. We fluttered in our dreams since we were eleven years old. I never saw myself with anyone else.
