Historical Fiction Books For Book Club Novels & Stories

There were a few historical novels that looked interesting but then she spotted one that really caught her eye. She wandered over to the very busy display, it was much busier here than anywhere else in the store. Picking up a copy of the book she flipped it over to read the blurb on the back. She was surprised to see it was a book about the Templars when she was jostled from all sides as shoppers grabbed a copy for themselves. Frowning, Annie moved away from the crowd and flicked through the book, it seemed the book depicted the Templars as humans

I even stumbled upon a book that belonged to the earlier Human Empire, which was eventually destroyed. I eventually chose a book, walked up to a seat, and sat down. The History of One Thousand Years. The Beast Kingdom was only mentioned in this one book, however, I'm not sure why that is. The book's title was neither innovative nor enticing. But I wasn't looking for a decent book to read, I was looking for knowledge on the Beast Kingdom. Dust was scattered everywhere when I opened the book. There was the odour of old wood that was hundreds or maybe thousands of years old.

I asked. “Another one of his historical smuts.” Henry replied, raising his voice to grab Ron’s attention. “This is fine historical literature not smut.” I snorted at that. “Fine historical literature my ass.” Henry said. Hen was right. I had once searched for a book in Ron’s vast library that did not involve a Duke being wickedly seduced by a temptress or a Highlander spilling his seeds into a moaning fair maiden and had not found any. Not that I was complaining, they were quite educative.

I say. I hope so. I really hope he’s right. I look at the clock on the wall and it says 1:48PM. I open my laptop and I start to read. The book I have to read is actually a historical book based on arts and crafts in the 18th century. It’s not a romance novel, so forgive me if I’m not very excited to read it. I could read 600 pages of a romance or horror novel, but my reading assignments are just not inviting enough.

“No, it’s our history-“ I turned around, facing Meredith as she watched me with a slightly strained smile. Her eyes no longer brimmed with amusement or happiness but rather pain and fear. “-It’s your history,” She walked around me and took out one of the books, the date on that particular shelf reading 2001. There wasn’t as much on that shelf as it was on the others, there were fewer books. “These are photo albums and further back in time, there were journals. All written and kept by the Royal members before us, preserved to perfection so to be passed on for eternity.”

Others were modern thrillers and contemporary fiction, their glossy jackets still vibrant. But then she came to a section that felt...different. These books weren’t stacked like the others. They were nestled into the shelves like treasures, rich, cracked leather covers, some with gold foiling so worn it was barely legible. Her hand paused over one that read, The History of the Black Moon Pack. Her brows knit. “Pack?” she murmured under her breath, pulling it from the shelf.

After zooming past the librarian, Gianna trudged between the massive book-filled shelves with the lingering hints of mustiness until she spotted a capitalized title of interest along Philipstown's history rank; COLDSPRING AS OF THE 1600s. She concentrated her weight on her toes as shortly as she reached the thick volumed book that looked worn out. Gianna comfortably settled in an isolated corner speculating on where to start. The impatient girl, seduced by laziness, decided to randomly flip through the black and white picture graced book when a set of bold letters snatched her scrutiny.

She will just make sure not to ask for a favor again. After breakfast she had with him, Althea went to the library to read a new book. This time she thought about picking a book about some of the powerful families in Westland which includes history of the royal family and Carter family as well. She doesn’t know why she was now so interested in their history, but since she is now this interested she doesn’t see herself going back. There were books in French, German, Greek, Arabic, and even some incredibly old ones dating back to the 14th century. Faith enjoyed the muffled stillness in the library, away from her pestering sister who was going crazy begging for answers, only sometimes joined by Katherine or William. And why had my mother hidden this book in her secret library? I moved to the shelf where I had found it, running my fingers along the spines of the other books, hoping to find something else, anything else that might give me a clue. But these shelves only held books about pack politics, territorial disputes, and leadership strategies. Nothing personal. Nothing that would help me understand this mystery. I pulled out another book, then another, scanning their contents frantically. Trade agreements. Historical pack alliances. Economic theories. A thick volume on the history of the Council of Alphas.
