I got this hunch that he'd become aware of my gaze and was about to return it, so I looked away immediately. "Are you aware that the rainbow is just an illusion?" He asked turning to me, with that cute smile still playing on his lips. "Huh?" "The rainbow," he repeated, pointing towards it "it's an illusion cast on the sky due to the reflection of light" "Really" I said. He scoffed and silence reigned once again. I figured it was now time to part ways before he begins to grow on me. "I'm about to go in now," I said reluctantly "Which hospital building do you stay?" I grabbed the arms of his wheelchair.

Marvin muttered, “Told you so.” He yanked the silver katana free and dropped it to the ground. _Clang._ Kelvin and Marvin’s wings burst open. They took to the air as the hybrids kept attacking. Holy water splashed across Marvin’s wing and it seared. He nearly lost balance mid-flight, but Kelvin caught him. They flew to the cave they’d called home for decades as they warred with the hybrids. “Woah,” Kelvin muttered. “That was intense.”

We are almost to the waterfall when Raidon stops us. “What are we waiting for?” I asked. I can see four guys walking around the waterfall, looking at something. Tyler shifts his weight and must have nudged something with his foot because all four turn around and look at us. Those aren’t fucking vampires. They are a hybrid. They are a cross between a wolf and a vampire; only they are genetically made. Hunters have been capturing both of our species for the last few years and genetically mutating them together to produce the perfect weapon to fight both of our kinds.

He answered before continuing to walk down the hall. "Her wolf?" I ask, looking at Jessica. "Yes, her wolf. She is a hybrid, the first of her kind, and Odett is the second. We have no clue what kind of hybrid Odett is other than a wolf, but Rain is a wolf/witch hybrid." She said, and then she walked around me and into Rains' room. "I told you! Now you look like an idiot because you couldn't listen to me or your beta!" Ryker says as I stand in the middle of the doorway, dumbfounded.

He grunted as he buried his face into the hollow of Rainn's neck. "It's quite alright, Groban would have acted exactly the same way if it was Laya." Selene said, I kissed her to shut her up; the second I pulled away, I grabbed her face and smiled, “That was incredible!” I told her, “You really are a powerful witch.” Amber said, “A powerful witch with little control.” Grandfather told her, I stared at him for a moment, “What do you mean?” I asked, he sat us all down as he began to explain, “A half blood witch isn’t too powerful, but still enough to be a little scared of. A full blooded witch, if terrifying and is definitely someone to fear. But a hybrid,” he looked at Selene, “There’s never been a hybrid witch of all three: a werewolf, a vampire, and a witch. Not to mention having witches in both bloodlines.”

This is different. I stare at Jeremiah in disbelief, trying to process the words. “Hybrids,” I mutter, almost laughing at the absurdity of it. “That’s ridiculous. There hasn’t been a hybrid in centuries, and the last one... it’s a myth.” Jeremiah seems insistent, however. He continues, his voice quieter now, “Not just any kind of hybrid,” he adds. “The last and only hybrid with such a healing rate was Ravon Cage. His descendants—”

Brian could tell that they were surprised by this because none of them ever expected him to have a mate this early. "No shit?", Jack grinned. "No shit. She's beautiful, you need to see her", Brian laughed. "Do we know her?", Killian asked. "Serah, she's a hybrid. Half witch, half wolf". "Okay... That wasn't expected but I'm happy you've finally gone off the market. A hybrid isn't one to be played with, I hope you can stay in your pants dude", Killian laughed.
