There was a telescope on the other side. "Wait, I don't understand. What is all this?" I asked him. "We should be having a full moon by tonight." He said to me as he peered into the telescope.

Even when you irritate me.” “I do nothing of the sort.” “Oh, so it’s just my imagination when you knock my things off of places and throw up on my stuff.” “Yes, that sounds about right,” he said in a smartass tone. I shook my head and kept walking. My next stop was at the planetarium on the backside of the fortress grounds. This is where the cosmic witches did all of their magic and studies. I actually enjoyed this place a lot. The cosmic witches dealt in zodiacs, horoscopes, astrology and celestial energy. It was pretty cool. I learned from spending time here that my zodiac was an Aries, which explains why I have such a strong connection with my fire element.

A knot forms in my stomach, though. “What do you think?” Sydney says as he reappears, motioning to the tangle of metal sprawled out before me. A large, rounded table sits in the very center of the room. On its surface, the planets of our solar system slowly dance around our moon. I step toward it, gazing down at the stars etched onto the surface of the table. “Sydney, why didn’t you tell me your family had something like this?” “Can you use it?”

I grab a pouch from a nearby desk and place the bloodroot in the pouch along with a knife. “What in the Harry Potter... Is the ceiling moving?!” She shrieks. I chuckle, “It's depicting our galaxy as it moves in real-time.” She blinks in astonishment, then her face contorts into a mask of guilt. “What’s wrong?” I ask in concern.

The dark surface seemed to swallow any light that struck it. On top of the table sat an urn fashioned from the same black material as the table. The round bottom of the container was almost a foot in diameter, while the neck tapered to an opening no more than two inches wide. Faint movement could be seen through its opaque sides, and a low hum seemed to come from inside. The Necromancer’s three followers watched him silently, each unwilling to draw attention to himself by speaking. Viktor was pretty sure he knew what was going on, while the two apprentice wizards had no idea.
