he said before he hung up the phone. "Emily, Emily" I called "In here, in the Kitchen" she answered she then handed me the needle looking thing and then rolled up her sleeve "its going to hurt ok" I said to her "its ok I can handle it" she said before I gave her the injection. 30 MINUTES LATER

As I walked into the house with Emily's belongings, Emily looked up from the couch, where she was on phone call She was talking to her manager, canceling her shoots and telling them she would resume work after her recovery. I smiled, feeling a sense of relief that she was taking care of herself. Titan wagged his tail and nuzzled my leg, and I reached down to pet him. As Emily finished her call, she looked up and caught my eye. "Hey," she said, smiling weakly. “what took so long?" she asked, looking at the bags in my hands. "I thought you'd be back sooner." Sarah opened her mouth to respond, but I shook my head subtly, and she closed it. I didn't want Emily to know about the interrogation jus

Hunter’s POV She was dirty, smelly, and so beautiful. Mine. Finally, something only mine. I was sick and tired of the endless parade of women, whether she-wolf or human, that kept coming to my bed. They were always there, looking for comfort, for something from me, but it never felt right. It was just bodies, hunger, and routine. I had only one child, a girl, and even with her, something felt missing. No one cared about connection, just survival and need. But with Emily, something shifted. She felt different from everyone else, untamed, mysterious; nothing about her seemed forced or desperate; she wasn’t here for what she could get. She was just herself. I took a chance in those desperate milliseconds before Emily's heart stopped altogether and she released her last breath. I lifted her in my arms and brought her up to my chest, extending my canines and sinking them into her marking spot. Could this insignificant deed save Emily? ****

Emily crawled across the carpet—phone clutched in one hand, remote in the other. She reached the en-suite bathroom. Locked the door. Wedged a towel under it. Then she sat in the tub—curled around her stomach—phone on speaker. “I love you,” she whispered again. Alexander’s reply was fierce. “I’m almost there. I’m coming for you.” Outside the bedroom, glass shattered. Mark had broken in. Emily closed her eyes. Pressed her hand harder to her stomach. And waited—for rescue. For revenge. For the sound of Alexander’s voice calling her name one more time.

With no evidence that she didn't murder her aunty, no eyewitness, no one to clear her name, Emily end up in prison. ****End of flashback****

Searching for soil, for purpose. I’m hungry to save you, the gesture implied. Don’t fear me. I’m not the intruder here. You are. And that place there, that place is the trap. With the same finality, the same pity, which Emily lent the rat (a thunk to the head with one of her wooden spoons to finish what baited cheese and spring-loaded barbs had not), she continued up the steps. “I have to go.” “Then you’re doomed.” “Yep, honey, I know that, too.”

I loved teasing her. She told me that she was going for honeymoon. Her eyes were moist with emotions. I am glad that she found her love. Even she teased me about Rohit. And told me how he was trying to get information about me from her. Rohit was a nice person, easy to talk to. I know that maybe he likes me, I liked him too... but I don't trust him or anyone for that matter. I can't help it.. I tried to sleep but couldn't sleep a wink. Some old wounds on my soul started giving trouble to me. I kept thinking about an incident that happened almost 6 year ago, which changed me forever...

After all, having expelled Jeremy from the clan, the leader thereby broke blood ties with him. After a short silence, Jack turned to Mike, who was watching his leader intently: - Look at the security cameras where Emily was last seen. She could not, alone, pull off such a feint: leave the territory.

the operator finally answered. “This is Alexander Winchester,” I said quickly, my tone sharp. “My wife—Emely. She had a check-up scheduled today. I want to confirm if she came in.” It sounded professional, but every muscle in my body was tense. The operator typed rapidly—audible through the receiver. “Alright, Mr. Alexander. One moment…” I closed my eyes. “Yes, sir. Mrs. Emely did come in today.” “Did she come alone?” “I’m sorry, sir,” the operator said hesitantly, “but it appears Mrs. Emely… was not alone.”
