West POV As the sun rose the next day, a solemn ceremony unfolded behind my den, a private farewell to Hope, Aria's beloved mother. The intimate gathering was a blur of sorrow, with only Sage, Liam, Rio, Aria, and I in attendance. Aria's tears fell like rain, finding solace in Rio's comforting shoulder. My heart seethed with a mix of fury and longing, but the weight of her grief overshadowed my anger. What pierced my soul was the ache of her absence – I yearned to hold her close, to be her rock in this darkness. The thought of her leaning on someone else, even Rio, felt like a hollow ache within me.

I asked, voice rough with exhaustion. “I think,” he said carefully, “it’s scared of what we become when we stop trying to be perfect, and just… burn together.” I smiled into his skin. “I’m not afraid,” I whispered. He kissed the top of my head. “Then neither am I.” But outside, the wind shifted. The scent of ash reached us on the air. And far in the distance… A howl rose. Not wild. Not mourning. But marching.

I'm glad I purchased this beautiful dress. After John parked the car we headed inside the hall to see the wonderful Christmas decorations and the mesmerizing display of lights everywhere. It was breathtaking to see how much effort was put into this party. This was the type of work that I want to do, an event planner.
