"When I get back," I said, running a hand over my jaw. "But first, we have to get through this."

Darren hopped out first, adjusting the strap of his backpack as he led the way to a rundown building. "I thought it would be better if we stayed in a casual neighborhood. Less eyes," he said, unlocking the door and pushing it open. "I got an Airbnb."
