The client's company wasn't far away, so I clocked in and headed out to meet them. When I stepped into the elevator, I was still on the phone with Adam, sharing the good news. The moment the doors closed, the lights flickered, and strange mechanical noises echoed. Only then did I realize I was alone in the elevator. The date was June 23—the same day I had fallen to my death in my previous life. "Adam!" I yell into the phone. "The elevator is dropping—"

Then the ground shook. Violently. Everyone stumbled. Then another roar erupted overhead. The monster had reached the tower. Samuel looked down. And his blood ran cold. The creature's face was now level with him. Its eyes burned like black fire. Its smile stretched wider than humanly possible. Then it spoke. Not aloud. Inside his head. You cannot stop me. Samuel almost fell. The voice felt like knives inside his mind. Then: You failed once. Another crack split the tower. Stone collapsed beneath him.

A sob tore from my throat as agony and terror flooded me. I scrambled to my feet and ran—half-human, half-wolf, claws clicking on the stairs—desperate to escape the blood-written warning. I burst into the living room… . Mom and my stepfather were frozen…. they were not moving at all… None of them move. None of them talked. "But Anastasia, look at your dark circles. You look like you haven't slept in half a year after just one night. I can't just stand by and watch you suffer without anyone to help, can I? I can't do that." Her words made my eyes well up with tears. She continued, "Enough of the nonsense. Most of the unknown isn't as terrifying as we think. The reason the unknown scares us is because we don't understand it. Maybe once we do, we'll find there's nothing to fear. Wasn't that what you told me?" I couldn't speak. I stretched out my arms and hugged Celeste, sincerely thanking her. She responded with, "Alright, stop being dramatic. Just tell me what I can help with."

Doing my best to keep my ears on the door and fully focused on Samuel's conversation, I simply could not take it anymore. I was shaking out of fear and anger, my heart pounding as each of his words ignited horror in me. His voice slithered into me like delaying poison, and the vein of awareness started giving off numbered cues of dread and horror.

The moment Brandon Price started his weird off-camera narration, everything seemed to happen at the same time: I heard a thud, so loud the floor vibrated under my feet, the ball on the kitchen table lit up and the TV turned off. “What—?” Another loud thud cut me off. “Never again,” said the app from my phone. “Oh, you mean these guys? Fine with me.” The third thud made me jump to my feet. “I said fine, no need to get so loud!” “Not us.” Those two words sent cold chills down my spine. “That wasn’t one of you?” “Demon. Basement.” “What!?” The next thud seemed to shake the whole house. “Library.” I forgot all about my dinner, grabbed my phone and hurried out of the kitchen with a frightened gla

The spirits whisper, "Devil's Backbone, Devil's Backbone, untimely." Sunny starts panicking as the room gets colder. The mirror then starts to shake on top of the fireplace, and she screams in terror. The spirits' whispers grow louder and more menacing, echoing through the room. Trembling, she clutches onto her blanket, feeling paralyzed with fear and uncertainty.

As his trembling subsided, he began to share his tale. His voice was a shaky whisper, barely audible over the howling wind. He spoke of a middle-aged man, a stranger he had seen in the hallway, his description so detailed it was as if he was painting a picture with his words. The man's face, his clothes, even the way he moved, every detail was etched into the old man's memory. But the horror didn't end there. The old man claimed that he had witnessed the stranger commit the gruesome act. His voice quivered as he described the brutal scene that unfolded before his eyes, the man transforming into a monstrous being, his humanity slipping away as easily as a snake shedding its skin.

Frix exclaimed in horror and Even Kelly got terrified by the realization that the thing we thought is a mountain is a giant monster! “G*dd*mn it! We are all inside a monster’s stomach!” Jasper whispered. “When we thought that we were all safe from demons, we didn’t know that we went straight into the demon’s gut,” Markan sarcastically sneered. “We all need to be careful now. Let’s just wish that tentacle won’t appear again,” Xeno murmured and nodded, giving us all a sign to move and start walking up the ladder. My knees are shaking in fear.

Reece whispers in my ear which makes me bounce in fear next to him. "Don't do that…" I snap at him. "Do what?" He asks innocently. "Scare me while I'm watching a horror movie.." I say to him. "Ssshhhh" Lexi, Tony and Aaron hiss at us in unison urging us to shut up. *********************************** It's 11:30pm now, almost midnight and I'm beyond nervous. Anytime now, it's going to happen. I'm going to get my wolf. I'm going to hear a voice in my head.
