‎I let out a deep breath, clenched onto my throbbing chest and stepped forward. ‎ ‎Every step came with a icy chill. ‎The creepy cracking sound of rusty doors echoing from every angle. ‎Then came the wolf howls, and the chattering sound of owls. ‎I swallowed hard, my heart threatening to leap out of my chest. ‎This place was scary, even for a horror writer like myself. ‎I mean, I was certain it was some kind of a prank, but still my limbs trembled like spaghetti. ‎“Hello..." I called out, my voice trembling. “Is anyone there?"

* The story is told from a single POV, and it doesn't change over the whole book. A trivia bit that blew me away: I picked the setting rather randomly, and later on, I found out I set my ghost story a stone-throw away from where Lovecraft set The Dunwich Horror and The Color Out of Space. Those coincidences I love about writing. Okay, enough gibberish. I'm just gonna breathe deep and hope for the best. So he inspired me to be creative with my writing. Stephen King- He is in my top 5 favorite authors of all time. I love reading his books. I love how dark, real, lighthearted, and horrific his stories can be. I love the world and characters he creates. He is main reason why I gotten into horror. His books "The Shining" and "Carrie", which were turned into classic movies, helped influenced me to create this story.

He vented all his fear of the horror game onto me just like before. Whenever Jack was bullied or ignored by others, he always came home and dumped all his resentment on me. His fists fell on me like raindrops. He had placed a restriction on me, and my whole body could not move. My eyes reddened, and veins bulged on my forehead. This scum—I would definitely kill him! The moon outside turned blood-red, and the air was filled with the smell of blood. In that instant, I seemed to hear something break. Then I bit down hard on Jack’s arm and tore off a piece of flesh.

An unimpressive number had racked up in the brief morning hour since she left the parking lot. Besides, being around him gave her so many story ideas and she was itching to get them down. Lisa had never had a muse before; her stories had always come from within her. It was scary to think that the horrors she wrote about had been buried somewhere in her subconscious and she often wondered whether it made her a monster.
