Epilogue: Now that I have written several of these stories, I find that my old ghosts have started to haunt my dreams yet again. It is amazing that once things are written down, they begin to take on a life of their own. Just remember, if you don’t want things to go bump in the night, don’t tell anyone else about them.

It infuriated Cassy more—with the night that’s the homecoming of the ghosts and horrors. A wicked laugh itched to be out, instead, she scrutinized the height. The distance between her and the ground did not harrow her. It amazed her at how different she’s lurking around where the normal people might not even stare without a wave of nausea washing over them. An urge to smoke-filled her; she fetched a pack from the inside pocket of her dark blue jacket; ignited the flame, mumbling, “Every legendary story is a pent-up frustration of human beings to invoke fear in the minds of those whom they hate. Several against one or one against many.”

I was thinking if we know how that ends, maybe it’ll give us an idea of how to end our film” “I didn’t actually read that far,” said Jimmy, stroking his beard. “I’ve got no idea how it ends. But you’re right, I’ll do some reading up before we start the script.” “Great.” “That’s exactly where we should look for help with the ending though. You know how you’ve always said before that horror is like a modern myth, a contemporary equivalent to ancient tragedy? Now you’ve got a chance to work on a film that really makes that clear. This film could say something about the meaning and purpose of horror, do you get me?”

* The story is told from a single POV, and it doesn't change over the whole book. A trivia bit that blew me away: I picked the setting rather randomly, and later on, I found out I set my ghost story a stone-throw away from where Lovecraft set The Dunwich Horror and The Color Out of Space. Those coincidences I love about writing. Okay, enough gibberish. I'm just gonna breathe deep and hope for the best. Most of the pictures were similar to one another with the same wounds on their necks and pale white as the clouds. It was like whoever had done this had drained these people of every last drop of blood. Opening a new document, I began writing a new short story. A story about a charming vampire seducing a young girl. In the end, the girl becomes a vampire and began “hunting” in the city with the male protagonist.

Once bitten, twice shy, as they say. Two years later, I was pregnant again. Time seemed to have passed by so quickly. Sometimes Horace would ask me, "How many years do I have left?" See? He was sharp, too. Just because he didn't ask often didn't mean he couldn't sense something was off. When he asked, I'd answer, "Only tomorrow. You should hurry up. When you're gone, I'll use your money to fill the house with young men. You know I could do it, right?"

So he inspired me to be creative with my writing. Stephen King- He is in my top 5 favorite authors of all time. I love reading his books. I love how dark, real, lighthearted, and horrific his stories can be. I love the world and characters he creates. He is main reason why I gotten into horror. His books "The Shining" and "Carrie", which were turned into classic movies, helped influenced me to create this story.
