The ones you saw today; we call them hellhounds. They’re sent to the human world to destroy their target. And right now, you, Joyce, are that target. I swear I’ll answer all your questions, but not here. Now is not the time.” Hellhounds? The word alone chilled me. The beasts that attacked my car were obviously too huge to be dogs and too terrifying to be wolves. All four of them were at least five feet tall. It gave me chills to even think they could come back.

When he got to where I was, he held out the tool for me to see clearly "Please." I continued struggling against the bindings desperately. When he reached out to grab my arm, I suddenly froze, closing my eyes and turning my face away. "You Thompsons have heartlessly killed so many of our kind. You killed even those who never killed a human for centuries. You've tortured us and hunted us like Prey." Venom dripped from his voice. The darkness in his eyes intensified as he trailed the knife over my skin teasingly. I couldn't stop trembling in utter terror.

The K-9s that were part of the detail were hellhounds and were bred specifically to serve the Moon Goddess and her chosen Elders. As the guards walked them away from the Elders, the dogs shifted to their hellhound forms. Each of the three dogs stood with their heads held high, even with shoulders of their Lycan handlers. Their pitch-black fur stood on end making them appear even larger. The eerie and demonic red glow of their eyes refracted off the smoke that came from their large snouts and mouths that held a permanent snarl. Fangs and claws extended as foam began to form around their mouths as they drooled in anticipation of a fight.

Harry yelled and the latter turned to run but an hellhound moved at an incredible speed as he appeared before them. He grabbed Harry by the neck sending bruises to his neck as he choked, his neck became extremely hot as he struggled hard to let go. The Hellhound tossed him away as he crashed to the hard ground. Max and Adam gripped each other in fear as they made to run but halted as another hellhound altered their footsteps. “Bring me the dagger.” he said as he grabbed them and trashed them to the ground. The hellhounds burned with great fire as they marched towards them until…..

I’m about to ask what is wrong when I hear several growls from one direction and a stomping sounds like hoofs from the other. “Mathias?” I question nervously and bring Seneca against me, protectively cradling her. “Hellhounds.” He growls, and turns the other way, “Nightmare horses.” He hisses. Bright red beady eyes peer from behind trees and bushes, the menacing growls and snarls of the hellhounds echo around us. I knew what these creatures could do. They were different looking from the demon dogs, but still just as dangerous and their pheromones could send even the strongest foggy in the brain.

Monster will be an understatement it was something beyond that. When my foot touched the ground and I tip toed towards the back gate neither it was his security or Siddarth himself welcomed me but his three pets but for me they were most dangerous and cruel dogs, three hunter dogs. The moment I saw them in front of me growling and barking I felt like my blood was completely draining from my body. If it was three pet dogs I wouldn't have gotten afraid like that but what was standing infront of me whose height almost up to me. I have seen them before because Siddarth cares for them more than his wife. He will starve me or never bothered if I had anything but he always enquired about his pets.

“Isn’t that every demon's job today?” She smiled again, “Some of the demons just have vendettas and they have waited centuries for a chance to get their revenge,” she explained, “The demons were warned about this war weeks ago. Hex will tell them it’s time, and they know that you are with Damien, a level two, they know that means that they have to protect you.” Her words eased the queasiness in my stomach slightly, but not entirely. There was still a war about to break out. Heaven versus Hell, the kind of thing that only happens in video games was now happening to me.

muttered James. Deep, guttural howls suddenly ripped through the night like a piece of black construction paper being rent in two. Instantly, several more of the bone-numbing howls were added to the cacophony. James knew without even having to think about it what that sound represented. The creatures were engrained onto his psyche. “Hellhounds,” he whispered to a wide-eyed audience.
