How Dare You Fire Me Does Your Father Know Novels & Stories

“Don’t let that part worry you, Abby. My father only cares about himself and I’m sure he doesn’t know up to five of the workers there.” “You’re not sure.” “I’m sure,” I replied, trying to sound convincing. I would say whatever I could just to make her feel better. “Okay, so how do you know that he won’t fire me?” Abby asked, her eyes shining with curiosity. “He didn’t look like he was joking and I could tell that he had control over everything.” I shook my head, holding back a bitter chuckle. “He doesn’t have control over everything, I have something against him.”

Your lover’s father helped cover it up. “Where were you today?” he asked, coming closer. “You look pale.” “Nowhere,” I said quickly. Too quickly. He raised a brow. “You’re lying.” I turned away. “I just… had a meeting.” “With who?” I hesitated too long. “Damien,” he said calmly, “talk to me.” I looked at him and I hated myself for what came next. “Do you know anything about the fire that killed my father?”

Bradford stuttered as he asked, “Dad, why did they suddenly fire us? What’s their reason?” “Reason? Our superiors said you offended someone. They also said, they found out that we used our positions to earn our personal profit. Now, they don’t just want to fire us, but they also want to sue us! You're a bloody jerk! I asked you to be low-key, but you refused to listen to me. Who the heck have you offended? This is so annoying! You’re making me furious!” His father kept scolding him from the other end of the call.

He was running his finger across his clenched chain when I said this brushing his stubble that was there before he responded to my question. "Son, I really don't understand what you are trying to do. Why did you fire every single male working here…?" Oh, he has just noticed it. That took a while. "Well, in case you have not forgotten Father I believe you remember a certain incident where my woman was almost raped but unfortunately we were not able to pin the culprit an-" I was suddenly midway through my explanation when I noticed that my father was looking at me strangely and I asked him why he was doing so.

My subconscious chips and I fight the urge to close my eyes and groan out loud. “Do you think I’m stupid, Darian?” A long pause. I could lie again. Or pretend I misheard. But there’s no point. The damage is done. He knows. “How?” I ask, finally. “Who told you that?” “Is it true?” he fires back. I don’t answer. That’s enough for him. My father rises from the chair, slow and deliberate. He walks forward, each step making the others fade into the background. “You’ve jeopardized everything we’ve worked for,” he says.

"I have nothing left to say to you." He didn't answer. He just walked in. The door closed behind him with a click that echoed in the silence like a gunshot. "Are you alone?" he asked, his eyes scanning the apartment. "I am." "Liar." "Marcus…" "Do you know what my father did?" He advanced a step. I stepped back. My hip hit the kitchen table. "He fired me. Because of a mistress. Because of a woman I don't even know who she is." "He didn't do that because of a mistress. He did it because you disrespected him. In front of him."

“Aren’t you going to at least ask why I was fired?” “What for? You’ve always thought you’re better than everyone.” The words cut, because they were so wrong. I wasn’t proud. I was desperate. But he didn’t see me, not really. He never had. “You’re my father. I work for your company. Just transfer me to another branch. I can prove that Ted isn’t the man you think he is.” He actually yawned. “I really don’t care but sure. Now get out” “I’m not leaving without money for Mom’s bills,” I said. “You owe her that much and you know it.”

Whatever the reason would be , I would never stand and watch any one insult my father, not to even think of slapping him no matter who he was. Just thinking of that made me pissed off, I knew by saying something flavoring would guarantee me the job but I would never give support to that. I looked up to Miss Janet . " If the CEO were to slap my father right before me and tell me to ask my father to leave or get me sacked for whatever reason....I would never watch anyone humiliate my father in my own eyes and have me keep quiet about it. If possible I would slap the CEO back for laying hands on my father and I would take up the option of getting sacked. I will never take up a job where my empl

It's like someone unlocks a tap, and all my anger comes rushing back. “Yeah, what about her?” I sharply asks him. He stops and looks at me. “Luther, are you sure that you are okay?” “Your father fired her, didn't he? I've always known that you billionaires are terrible people, but I've never thought my mum and I would be victims. Don't worry, she will find another job by the end of the week. You and your family can go to hell. Well, except Maybelline. She is not like you and your father.”

“If you fire him, I’ll resign. I’ll walk away from the company. From you.” His face reddened. “Emma” “I mean it. I’ve spent my life doing what you wanted. Attending your schools, preparing to run your empire, keeping my mouth shut. Not anymore.” Silence.Long. Suffocating. My father turned to Killian, a bitter scowl etched into his features.“You better be worth all this, son.” Then he left. The door clicked shut. And all I could do was collapse onto the couch, heart pounding. Killian’s POV
