Settling on the cliff edge, Natalia discreetly scattered crumbs from her pocket, soon attracting a swirling flock of birds. Miming alarm, she jumped up flailing her arms. "Gah, nasty creatures!"
As she "battled" the onslaught of wings, Natalia called over her shoulder, "Olga, hurry back to the cabin and grab my shotgun! These beasts won't quit until we pick them off."
She heard Olga scramble to obey, crashing heedlessly through the undergrowth in her haste. Natalia fought back a triumphant grin - the ruse had worked perfectly. Now to see what awaited at this mysterious cabin while Olga was distracted.
