Chapter 2: Alpha Nate walked towards the table of the dining hall, taking his seat at the head. the pack had begun dining. The omegas of the pack served all the higher ranking pack members, waiting off at the side, like the maids they were made to be. Nate cleared his throat as he leaned forward, a sinister smile making its way on his face. "Everyone there," he pointed towards the omegas, "You may all leave, Noella shall serve us," he said in a commanding tone.

Hillary continued scathingly. “What is this all about you and Mark? God!” Olivia exploded “I wish there were more people like him in the world, or at least in this place, you know why? Because of attitudes like yours, I'd rather be with Mark a thousand times than spend a minute with any of you!” She continued looking at Hillary and Cindy, "You guys are the worst! Mark didn’thing to you!” Without giving them time to answer, she took my hand to get us away from those idiots. “Do you know what’s the worst?” We heard Daniel ask “That at no point did Liv's pet defend himself! We already know who’s the bitch in the relationship.” He laughed.

"I see... we hope you find a partner, not a business partner you know," Valerie clarified. Bashfully, Natasha responded, "Yes, exactly. Hopefully, when the time is right, I'll meet someone who complements my life. But for now, I'm embracing my singlehood." She concluded with laughter. As the show ended, Natasha was surrounded by her bodyguards, preparing to head to another meeting. The press eagerly approached her for questioning, but her men shielded her until she decided to address them.

She bombarded her with questions. “ Calm down, Ma!” she chuckled at her mother’s outburst. “ I’m calm." “ For starters, we are not dating yet. Nobody has asked anyone out, and he’s a bartender,” she explained. “ When am I meeting him? I met Ida when she wasn’t dating Elon yet, so that changes nothing,” her mother shrugged, cutting through her casserole with its flavors bursting in her mouth, making her moan in delight. “ This is really good! Kudos, Rita,” Alyona complimented.

I take a deep breath, and I focus all of my energy on defeating Raphael. Raphael grabs me by the arm, pulling me down to the ground. He lands blow after blow, each one more powerful than the last. I try to fight back, but I can feel my strength fading. I glance over to where Natasha is standing, and I can see that she's crying. She's beautiful, even in her distress, and I feel a surge of emotion.

My tone came out bitter than I had intended. "Does he treat you well?" she was clearly ignoring my question. "At least, he respects me," I retorted. "And I can't deny what's between him and me." For a moment, I wished I hadn't said that. I could feel Anastasia's body stiffened against mine. We were alone and far from anyone. She could have done all harms to me, and I wouldn't be able to take her down even with all my years of training. Anastasia Romanov wasn't a normal vampire. I had witnessed her strength and ability to attack our hunters. A fraction of my mind had been constantly warning me of this fierce princess.
