More Than A Bet

More Than A Bet

I wanted the conversations to feel more realistic, sharper, and more reflective of the underlying conflict and attraction between the characters. Some scenes were expanded with additional dialogue to give more depth to the characters’ emotions and motivations. Rather than simply telling you how the characters feel, I tried to show it through their words, reactions, and interactions. This is something I’m actively working on improving in my writing, and your feedback has really helped me notice where certain moments could be stronger or clearer.

The CEO’s Secret Triplets

The CEO’s Secret Triplets

"He’s a shark. He’s going to ask about Geneva. He’s going to ask why I ran. And if I don't answer, he’s going to let the silence tell the story for him." "Then we fill the silence," Dante said. He reached across the bed, his hand hovering over hers for a fraction of a second before he pulled back. "We tell the story of a mother who went to the best clinic in the world to save her son’s life. We don't talk about 'upgrades.' We talk about 'interventions.' We use their language to bury the truth." Bella stood up, moving away from the bed. "You’re so good at this. The language of the lie. Does it ever get exhausting, Dante? Knowing that every word out of your mouth is a strategic calculation?"

I love the fact that Bella is hard on Dante and doesn't act like the victim that doesn't use his/her head. She establishes a clear line between professional work and her personal life too. The girl knows how to set her boundaries straight!! You should definitely check this book out!
Fay

TEMPORARY MATES, PERMANENT CRAVINGS

TEMPORARY MATES, PERMANENT CRAVINGS

Some burdens are not meant to be shared. This one was mine. --- WHAT WAS MISSING (AND ADDED INTO THE SCENE) You had strong dialogue, but a few places lost behavioral pressure. I added: 1. Environmental interaction Cameron pouring wine Bottle sliding back to shelf Glass hitting counter Wine tasting wrong These keep the scene physical without body-part choreography. 2. Dialogue pressure Added lines like: “Your fiancé let you escape already?” “He talked about trade routes for forty minutes. I fled for my life.” “What kind of woman?”

Great story from book 1 to book 2, hoping for a sequence the after married life of wesley and isabella with their pup and maverick being the old brother. Loved to see also the story of charlie and emma, and maybe an exciting and unexpected love story of annita with the king rouge

Dear Luxie... Do you think when Emma’s story is over you can write another one with all the families and friends gathered together in an island somewhere alone just being happy with their children and grandchildren reminiscing when they all came together? Maybe even bring back Sasha and Cora.

THE WOLF'S FATE

THE WOLF'S FATE

" We may examine the depths of the human experience, challenge thinking, and inspire change via characters and storytelling." Miguel's remarks struck a chord with Lucian, and he grinned. "Stories have the power to bridge gaps, foster empathy, and bring people together." They have the ability to heal, educate, and spark our collective imagination." As the evening progressed, their topics ranged from art to philosophy, personal growth to social reform. They pondered the meaning of existence, the complexity of love, and the significance of dialogues in creating their own pathways. Sophia, a philosopher with a sharp mind, submitted a question to the group. "What are we really looking for in our

At Arm's length

At Arm's length

I just had to answer Edward's question as quick as possible. "Ma'am. Is there a difference between showing and telling?" He asked without standing up. I understood it was because of the fear of being mocked or called names because of his height. He was as short as a midget. "Yes, hmm.. Showing allows the readers to follow the writer into the moment to see and feel, using the appropriate balance of showing and telling will make the writing more interesting. Telling is straight forward, you just say it directly and then pen it down that way. But showing uses more descriptive words.

Ikechukwu Williams
One of the most refreshing and heartwarming novels I've read. A real page turner, full of wit and humour, with very relatable characters. It successfully makes a captivating yet realistic depiction of young love within a modern Nigerian society.
Illustrious Joy
An inciting read with spurs of savory romance, humour and subtle wit. I so much love the bond between Adesewa and Kenechukwu. The writer's pen keeps brewing scintillating scenes about them that it leaves me with an insatiable urge for more chapters. Big ups to you dearie❤

My Father's Best Friend, My Obsession

My Father's Best Friend, My Obsession

The scene had been sitting in my head all day while I carried trays and filled cups, and now that the restaurant had quieted down the words came easily, flowing from one thought to the next while the characters inside my story stepped back into life. The heroine stood across from the man she loved in the chapter I was editing, the entire world telling her their relationship was wrong, yet none of those voices could silence the truth beating inside her chest. ‘Let them talk,’ she told him stubbornly in the scene. ‘They’ve always talked, and they’ll keep talking long after we’re gone.’ I paused briefly and smiled to myself before continuing to type, my shoulders relaxing as the rhythm of writi

Owned by the Ice King :He bought my debt. I never expected h

He stopped because walking into the kitchen would have ended it, and ending it was wrong. The conversations had a quality that Elijah had come to recognize. They were not monologues—they were dialogues, though only one of the participants was speaking in words. Alexander would speak, and the dog would respond in the language of dogs: a tail wag, a head tilt, a shift of position, a soft sound. And Alexander would receive these responses as communication. He would adjust what he was saying based on what the dog did. He stood in the hallway and listened.

The wife I forgot to love

The wife I forgot to love

She let herself replay it. “Helena,” she whispered to the empty kitchen, testing how it sounded when she carried the same softness. It felt different on her tongue now. She picked up the script from the table, found the scene she had been stuck on for two days, and read it through once from the top. The dialogue still felt a little flat in the middle. She made a quick note in the margin about changing the rhythm, letting the characters interrupt each other more like real people do when emotions run high. Set it down again.

Mend My Broken Heart

Mend My Broken Heart

The enigmatic figure, a spectral guide through the astral realm, urged us to explore the depths of our shared dialogues, for within them lay the key to unlocking the mysteries of the cosmos. Amidst the celestial dance, the Nexus revealed portals to diverse realms, each tethered to a unique dialogue. "Choices made in dialogue shape the contours of reality, steering the cosmic ship through uncharted waters," the figure intimated, its words carrying the weight of cosmic significance. We stood at the crossroads of possibilities, our dialogues creating bridges between the known and the unknown, the familiar and the enigmatic.

Sins With My Ex's Father

Merilyn's POV Yeah, I do. I don't need them to speak the words out loud. Their bodies tell me the story. The way they hold their shoulders tells me about the burdens they carry. The flicker in their eyes shows me their regrets. It’s like reading a book written in the language of nervous twitches and hesitant sighs. And it is even more enjoyable hearing them talk about it.
