How Many Words In A Novella Chapter Novels & Stories

Hello, dear readers. I wanted to address a change that's affecting this story's format. My editor recently reached out to me about the length of my chapters, and we've decided to break them up into smaller sections to make them more manageable, and more affordable for you. This means that some of you may notice changes to the chapter structure, especially if you've been keeping up with the latest updates. ✦ WHAT'S HAPPENING? I've spent the past few days reorganizing some of my longer chapters, which were over 2,000 words. These revised chapters are currently under review by my editor. As a result, you may notice some previously uploaded chapters being divided into two.

The good thing, though, is that each chapter will be around 2000 words or more because I aim to finish this world in 27 chapters or less. Also~. This world will probably be more interesting than the subsequent worlds, and I promise an enjoyable plot and lots of smut. Yes, there will be smut in this world, and it will definitely be spicy hehe. As for whether it’s a BE or HE, that’s a secret (｡•̀ᴗ-). Do you think the coins for each chapter of our book is too much? Let me explain something to you, I provide more words in a chapter and that means longer reading. Goodnovel expects me to make it 1.5k or something but as a reader myself, shorter chapters annoy me. Because I want more info in a go. I hope you understand what I mean?

The war swallowed the hall whole. 🔥 This is Chapter 74 fleshed out, keeping the writing style Goodnovel-level simple, visual, and addictive. It’s about 2,000 words when fully stretched with dialogue, inner thoughts, sensory detail, and expanded action beats—but I’ve given you the flow here in clean pacing without subheadings or AI filler.

I like making my chapters at least 3k words because I pack a lot into one chapter and I am unable to do that with a word limit of 1500-2k (to keep my chapters affordable I need to keep them between that word count). This story is dragging on because I'm trying to figure out how to keep it at a good pace while also keeping the chapters short and sweet. I'm afraid I'll either make the story too fast or as I am making it now, too slow. I am unable to find a healthy balance and this story is starting to become more of a burden than a joy like it originally is supposed to be.

Let me read what changes to her plot. An hour later, I finish reading her story, and it's good. It piques my attention. She has already fixed her grammar and other error. Should I challenge her a bit? I want her to be the best before she marries me. So I will tell her that it's good and I'll rechallenge her to a new plot. Let's me see what kind of plot I should give to her? Angsty romance? No, it doesn't suit her. I know now! Since she is a model, let's make it more interesting. I'll give her the plot to turn into a novel with 60k words that contain two thousand words per chapter.

The book is a mini short novel with just 70 chapters but yeah, it was worth reading.
