*Onyx POV* Tic glowers at Bill, who seems completely unphased by the heat directed his way. Not that he ever is. In fact, it takes a lot to get to Bill. Unless you are a blind girl with a smart mouth, it would seem. He lasted only thirty minutes with the smart mouthed woman named Tilly. Now Tic and I get to be graced with his shitty attitude for the duration of this meeting.

Toby is in Bolivia, and Oliver is usually filming on location for at least six months of the year, but everyone else is based at Blackmarsh- Tony and Katie, Timothy (who is two years younger than Oliver and I), Dhriti and Jasmit, Nicholas and Nathaniel. Toby and I, Dhriti and Jasmit are all adopted. Dhriti and Jasmit were best friends already, before Tony and Katie came into their lives. Both are fourteen now, and both want to be dancers. He squinted his eyes while sizing her from head to toe with a sneer,“You don’t look that to me right now.” He finished coldly.

The guy who licks his fingers when no one is looking. The one who confessed he liked me in front of my class by standing on the teachers table saying ‘I like ju Shummer’ Because he has huge braces on?” I ask. She nods.”No! shit, hes gross as hell. Even grosser than me.”

It's just we're going to be apart, now that we're moving up to senior highschool year. We arrived at the Sumgyupie Restaurant and saw Tiffany waving her hands like there's no tomorrow. Our timid and innocent girl, Tiffany Alcaraz. She's the youngest of our squad. Still going to celebrate her birthday soon. She got braces in her teeth, long and straight black hair, innocence evident on her young face, around 5 feet-- oh well, I'm the only short in the squad. Don't ask for my height. We sat on our table and I could see their scowl on their faces.

He chuckled, a mischievous twinkle in his eye as he replied, "Guess." I furrowed my brow, trying to recall if there was something special happening today that I might have forgotten. But try as I might, nothing came to mind. "I don't know," I admitted with a shrug. "What's the occasion?" Toby's grin widened even further as he leaned in close, as if he were about to share a secret. "It's my birthday tomorrow!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with mock indignation. "And here I thought you were my best friend."

A small voice rose from the silence, catching our attention. All eyes turned to one of the tents as a small child with slick brown hair peeked his head from the side of the entrance. The kid gently pushed the curtain aside, only to run to Tommy who fell back to his knees. Embracing each other, I realized just how close the two really were. Tobby was also much younger than I first thought; the boy seemed to be around nine or ten years old, much too young to be out here all alone with these people.

“And how old is he now?” “Four,” Tears stung my eyes. Toby’s lost in this world like I was when mama took me in. I don't know where I’d be if it hadn’t been for her. “How old do you have to be to adopt?” Mama choked on her swallow of tea. “Cali, why are you asking?” I shrug. “I’m curious, that’s all,” “Well older than sixteen, that’s for sure,” After we got home and ate dinner I went to my room. I couldn’t stop thinking about Toby and how we were so much alike.

Tobias was supposed to be 28 years old now, which meant he was only 18 when he was involved in the accident.

She looked like she was the oldest in the group, maybe twenty if I had to guess. Tessa waved towards another girl sitting in front of a mirror, straightening her thick bangs. She had to be around nineteen or twenty as well, and I was guessing that Tessa may have been the youngest at eighteen. "Molly, but we also call them Em, sounds just like the letter. Either is cool." Tessa said, reaching out her hand to point out a lock of hair that had been missed by the straightener. "Anyway, they're our drummer." Molly smiled appreciately up at Tessa as they grabbed the curl. She turned around and headed back towards her discarded guitar on the couch.
