How To Draw One Piece Novels & Stories

I had spent two and a half years waiting to be ready for things and I had learned that ready was a door that did not open from the outside. I took the bag to the bedroom. Sat on the floor. Opened it. The first thing was a drawing. Crayon on paper gone soft at the edges. A house. Two figures. One tall. One very small with what might have been a stick or a flower in its hand, drawn by someone too young to know the difference and too certain to care. I held it for a while. Then kept going.

Started drawing without deciding to. The page filled. She didn't look at what she was making until the pencil stopped. A woman at a window. Below her, in three suggested lines, a small figure. She looked at it for a moment. Turned to a fresh page. Drew again — faster, not thinking. When she looked at the second page her hand had made a face. Dark hair suggested in two strokes. A jaw. Eyes that gave nothing back even in pencil. Four lines total. It looked exactly like him.

HANNAH’S POV: It started as just a silhouette. The line of a shoulder. The way a skirt falls when the fabric has enough body to move with intention. The curve of a neckline I had been thinking about for weeks but had not put on paper yet. My hand moved across the wall and the lines came easily, more easily than I expected, like they had been waiting there inside me all this time and the blank wall was simply the surface they needed. I did not think too hard. I just drew.

It told me almost nothing. I turned to the bottom half of the page. I drew a horizontal line representing the forearm. Above it I sketched the viper — rough, approximate, the raised head and the coil of the body the way I remembered it. I had no talent for drawing and it showed, but the shape was there, the proportions close enough to be useful. Beneath the line I drew the word as best I could. Six letters. Maybe seven. The first one tall. The middle ones compressed by the italic lean. The last one with a curve at the base.

Stepping into my dark room, I sit on the study table, light a candle, turn on a lamp, and grab a pencil from the drawer. As my grip holds the drenched paper over the burning flame of the candle, the blaze slowly reveals two faces. With my own idea of tracing, my fingers grip the pencil tightly and draw on a different sheet of white paper. It takes me more than four hours to complete the sketch. “What?” Confusion shrouds me.

I told Steff to excuse me that I want to draw, she decided to follow me, so she could help when I needed any material. I had stood in front of my drawing board for about thirty minutes, yet nothing came to my mind, and the only thing I wanted to draw is a human. My mind snapped to him, yes HIM, I decided to draw him. I remembered his teristics, starting from his chiseled jaw to his sea green turquoise color of eyes, his tanned skin, his broad shoulders. Every one of his features, I remembered, I quickly started, I noticed Steff was watching me, but I didn't care tho, just needed to concentrate.

I stare at it. Tap the pen once. Twice. Cross it out hard enough to leave a dent. Too dramatic. I exhale through my nose and replace it with: Focus: scope That one stays. I start sketching again smaller this time. A version of the project that makes sense. Something that could actually be finished without swallowing me whole. I work quietly, methodically, the way I always do when I’m trying not to think about anything except what’s directly in front of me. The world shrinks to pen and paper.

And a pencil was also break in half. “What… happened?” She was worried. Not really knowing about what is the reason behind all of that is frustrating her. But soon as she pick up a piece of crumbled paper near her, she understand what may it be. It was a drawing of clothes and designs yet, it wasn’t looking good at all. Although based on the lines with a shaky parts, she can say it might have taken time to even make that stroke. Opening the other paper, she can’t help but feel sad. Just knowing now that Lian was frustrated about his drawing makes her be sad too.

he called out softly, his voice barely audible behind the thick, curly bangs falling into his eyes. “Yeah?” He held up the paper to show me jumbles of colored lines and his lower lip was poked out in a frustrated pout. “Want…want to draw the dinosa..ur… put the tail on the back. I can’t...” ‘Can’t see,’ I finished internally. “Give me a second.” I reached for my bag and rummage through the side pocket until my fingers found the small stash of hair ties I’d started carrying everywhere. I picked out a soft blue one and beckoned him closer. “Alright, we’re about to do something special. A little magic trick.”

“So, you just have to pick a picture. Nothing too much. What do you want to draw?” I looked at the blank sheet for a while, “maybe a house?” She nodded, “okay then. Usually, I draw houses with a triangle above, a square below, two little boxes inside and a sideways rectangle for the door.” Okay, that was actually pretty smart. “That's one easy house.” I chuckled. “That's why I like it. It's easy. After that, you choose the colours you want. It doesn't have to be complicated.” “You do not talk like a seven year old, young lady.” I said to her and she giggled softly.
