Victoria slammed her teacup down so hard the porcelain cracked against the saucer, hot tea splashing over the white tablecloth.
"You wouldn't dare," Victoria hissed, standing up from her chair, her face flushed with fury.
"Try me," I said, stepping back from the table. "I have a catalog to launch."
I turned around and walked out of the dining room without waiting for another word.
