Alissa POV I was so excited when I heard that my brother finally found his mate. Xander has always been close off and has just little interaction with females so I know he is going to have a problem approaching his mate. If she is also a werewolf like it won’t have been difficult because we will have known what mate means. But unfortunately for him, his mate it’s a human. And humans are complicated especially when it comes to relationships. But Xander being Xander will definitely not ask for help and not the type who just helps anyone just like that without being asked.

Xaden was out for blood and Henry was mainly defending himself, but the more Xaden attacked, the angrier and more daring he grew. As the fighting continued, a scent made Henry freeze, knocking him off balance and making it easy for Xaden to attack him. He was knocked to the ground, Xaden’s wolf about to bite into him, until Xaden gained control and pulled his wolf back, noticing that Henry was no longer fighting. He was sniffing the air, his eyes darting wildly around, almost manically. Xaden shifted back into his human form, and soon after, Henry did too. “What is it?” Xaden asked, breathless as he rubbed his bleeding shoulder.

The white t-shirt he was wearing hugged his upper arms closely, letting his tattoos and guns- so-called muscles- show proudly. God damn, I can only imagine how that broad shoulder of his would feel-- “Skylar?” he suddenly turned his attention on me, the brown orbs gazing inside my blue ones. The way a small frown crept to his face was enough to let me understand that he didn’t know I was naked-stripping him within my mind. Does anybody have holy water? Anyone? “Anything really.” Xander gave me a small nod, returning his gaze to the road, leaving me with my unholy thoughts once again.

I believe that’s what made me so close to him, the fact that I don’t see myself as just a piece of meat, or rather, a sex-hungry avatar. Rachel smiled, thinking of all the good times. "Are you psychotic or something? Because that memory did not just put a smile on your face," Xander said low key, freaking out that maybe he and Alice had created a monster from a massive traumatic time. With a Herculean effort, Xavier shook off his own shock enough to step forward. “On behalf of my team, we really appreciate the assist. We can’t thank you enough. My name is Xavier Michaels,” he said and stuck out his hand for her to shake, only to be surprised to find it covered in dark fur and tipped in claws. Well, this is a first. He had never been so shaken that he’d forgotten what form he was in before. Before he could retract it, she grasped it and shook, her hazel eyes meeting his without an ounce of fear.

Writer's pov Connor, Tyler, and Dylan sit in front of Xander… there's silence as they all can feel their alpha prince's sadness. “Connor, see what you've caused!” Tyler blames Connor, smacking the back of his head. “She hates me!
