Hello and Happy Summer to Everyone!! The sequel to "The Hunt" is called "The Dragon's Treasure" and it is being posted one chapter at a time on the web app here on Good Novel! (The first chapter will post this afternoon - June 14, 2022) You won't be able to find the book on the mobile version for a few months yet (it has to go through approval and I don't want to make it pay to read quite yet as I work through the story development and editing phases).

After that, a different kind of satisfaction came across me. I enjoyed hunting these human hunters, thus, killing 10 werewolves and being the youngest and best werewolf hunter. Rendall killed 8 werewolves which are also not that bad, Quinn is setting poisonous traps and putting some on the bows granting her 4 kills. We make a great team. “Let’s go, Raffi.” I turned and saw Rendall brushing his mid-length hair using his fingers. “Are you going on a date?” I asked him as I scanned his clothes.

“You hesitate and it could cost you your life or the life of the hunters working with you.” I nod but I can’t focus on his words. I know the spiel. He’s said them over and over to me when he first started training me at five. By seven, he’d taken me on my first hunt. By 10, I’d killed my first wolf; a rogue that we’d tracked for weeks. We’d found him in a home, a woman dead beside him as he gorged on her flesh. It had been an easy choice…I hadn’t even winced when I pulled the trigger and ended the pitiful monster’s life.

She ran her fingers along the spines, feeling calmer already. She settled herself into his desk chair, tucking her feet underneath herself. She figured grabbing a book might help her sleep or at least distract herself. It was then that she noticed a familiar leather book poking out from the center drawer. Silently, she slid the drawer open. It was the book her grandmother had given her weeks ago. A page was tabbed. Curious, she flipped to the page and her eyes widened in horror at the entry. Ava Brochade m. Smith, 1963-still living. Residence previously unknown. Whiteridge, house in Estates neighborhood. Over 100 known kills. (most of which were known to be unauthorized.)

People become noisy, and quite frankly both of us needed some private space now. "What is wrong with you? Why are you going around the hospital like a lunatic instead to rest in your bed? Are you crazy?" "I wanted to ask Ralph if the persons I hit through that accident are ok or not. I don't need to give you any explanations."And there is the real fucking Hunter. I beat myself now very hard because for one second I believe his stupid "I'm sorry" shit. I can't believe I was crazy enough to believe Hunter is honest.

I woke up early the next day, my mind already set on what I had to do. I needed to find a way to get into the Order of the Phoenix Hunters. These were the specialists in killing supernaturals for centuries, and I knew they could help me get my revenge on Keith and his vampire accomplices. But to do that, I needed to gain the trust of Gerald, their leader. I got dressed, packed my bag, and headed out. As I drove, the worry of being followed kept nagging at me. What if Derek or Marcus were on my trail, trying to stop me from getting to the hunters? I shook off the thought and continued on my journey.

His gaze, brimming with desire, slowly moved from her face to her neck. The water had washed away the veil of concealer she had so meticulously applied, revealing the bold evidence of his ardent desire etched upon her skin—exquisite poetry of countless hickies and bites adorning her neck and collarbones. A figure emerged from the tree line—a tall man with the unmistakable confidence of someone who thought he was in control. Benton Nye. I had only seen his picture in the dossier Hana provided on the drive from the farm to the park. His picture had been burned into my mind—a man with sharp features, dark hair, and a smirk that barely concealed his arrogance. The dossier detailed his role as the leader of the American Hunter Association, his calculated brutality, and his obsession with destroying the supernatural and avenging his mentor, Sakina Adio. He didn’t just kill supernatural beings—he studied them, broke them, and experimented on them.

Once inside, Hunter reversed the car sharply, speeding away from the scene. As they passed the motorcycles and cars belonging to Giovanni’s men, Hunter brought the car to a brief stop. He aimed his gun and fired at two of the motorcycles, hitting their fuel tanks. The bikes exploded instantly, the flames spreading to a nearby car, which also erupted in a fiery blast. Satisfied with the destruction, Hunter hit the gas, driving them away from the chaos.

SONG OF THE CHAPTER: Gasoline by Halsey IVARA'S POV: The night smells of gunpowder and burned rubber, a metallic tang lingering in my nostrils as I skid the bike to a stop. My wolf growls beneath my skin, senses alert. I should’ve known something was off because everywhere is too quiet and too calculated but nothing could have prepared me for the screams. Hunters. They hit fast, like predators with no conscience. UV rounds sizzle against fur, scorching the wolves as if the bullets carry fire itself.
