As a team, we’d managed to avoid any civilian deaths in almost a decade. Though Tim’s death was ultimately my fault, as the newest member of the team Sierra was the one suffering through the hard stares and judgemental frowns. Whilst they would never admit it, there was a clear sense of disconnect between most of the hunters and the modern world. They were traditionalists, through and through, and Sierra – unlike the rest of us – had not either been born into the trade, as I had, or found out about the supernatural though tragedy, like Torre.
