He glared at me and continued to try and reach out to me. I swiped at his hand, slicing through his fingers. He howled in anger as he tucked his hand against his chest.

I was watching my weight anyway and I needed to get in and out fast, I didn’t want to wait any longer to get this journey started. “Jarvis, navigate me to The Academy in Maine.” I said. I knew this would be a multiple day journey, because we would be stopping in between, but we had to go that direction anyway. “As you wish, ma’am.” He said, and we were off. I ate my food in silence, pondering my journey. How funny is it that when I was younger I swore to be the first in my family to break the mould and not become a Hunter. But now, I'm one of the top Hunters. I guess revenge and hatred will fuel you to succeed, even if you never wanted to.

I feel cynical because I don’t want to get my hopes up only for them to be squandered. “They won’t,” Hunter claims, and steps nearer to the road and starts to wave her hands. “My aspect is image manipulation, or rather, creating illusions. I can make myself look younger as if I were a child. If they are humans, normal, mundane humans, they won’t abandon a teenager and her family down the road with nowhere to go.” “Her what now?” Kiran asked, blinking.
