“Hunji,’ Xander lays a hand on me as try to leave the room. “Tobias has three of the bastards in our cells, the warriors have them locked up. One Hunter and two wolves.” I nod my head “Let me know when you interrogate them, have Tobias link me.” I tell him. Tobias and I can link because we both belong to Riocht. Tobias is still a part of the Kodiak Kingdom and can still link with their members, the same as I can link with pack members of MacTire. “Okay,” Xander tells me and lets go of my arm. “Give Finn some time,” I look between the two bear shifters “He needs to sort through his own mess in his head before he can see reason.”

I remembered myself eating tteokbokki while watching Korean dramas. Hunter sighed and slouched on the couch, throwing the phone beside him, and covering his eyes with his hands. “I’m tired.” He sounded helpless and tedious. Licking the sauce on my lips and swallowing the food I chew before speaking. “I’m not so good at business. I have a tiny knowledge about it. But don’t you have pr stunt team?” Hunter shook his head. “I never needed one. You see in the past year, my business grew with little to no publicity stunt.”

Hunter was clearly not trying to smirk on camera but he couldn't help his ego. A photographer went closer to him to adjust his stance and lower the waist band of the sweatpants to go almost dangerously low. Then the tattoo came into full view. It was a wolf, scratch that.. a cub that looked like it was trying to howl. The cub was actually looked like it was standing on water but the wolf's body was literally on fire. I just noticed the tiny and faint flames that surrounded the little creatures body and for some reason I felt sad. For the wolf though.

Hearing there were other monster hunters apart from him, the man laughed and shook their hands. “My name is Han. I’m the only hunter who lives near the forest. Coincidentally, the girl with the red hood you heard from the builder brothers is my niece. Come inside. We have a lot to discuss about that horrible monster.” Nodding at Akiko when she hesitated, Liu Feng took the lead and entered first behind Han but waited for her to follow him as he could not sense any objects in the house. Unlike other stages, the blind man thought this stage was more bugged than the others. Many objects and people in this stage had little to no presence. It was as if they were walking through a land of illusions

Hunter said, between bites. I wolfed down the meat stew. It felt like I hadn’t eaten in days. Nina watched me, grinning broadly. “Baby’s very hungry,” she said. “I’m going to test my new Gamma tomorrow.” Hunter remarked, reaching for another roast potato. “Tasha’s twin brother, Teo.”

They instinctively looked down. Then everyone froze. The pink, suggestive interface of "Goddess Hunter" disappeared. It was replaced by a cold black interface that looked like a tombstone. At the center of the screen, the photo of me that had been treated as prey vanished too. In its place was Gary's face, twisted with shock. Under his photo, blood red words slowly appeared. [New game activated, Scumbag Hunter.] [Target: Gary Zachary York.] A cold, emotionless synthetic voice came from everyone's phone at the same time.

The scars my mate made damn sure would never heal, tattooed into each side of my inner thighs. Did the man see those? Humiliation tore at my chest. The sob heaved deep in my throat, but no sound came. I sucked in the pain. Plucked out the noise. I wrapped the towel around my body and pressed another to my damp hair. I opened the door and there the hunter stood, holding clothes out. Women’s clothes. My brow tipped. “My wife’s. My late wife. She died… years ago. She wasn’t nearly as small as you but at least you’ll have something to wear,” he said, avoiding my gaze. I took the clothes from his hand and retreated back to the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Hunter managed to call me and explain what had happened as he waited for me to arrive. He looked into the pool, at the reflection of the moon, and staring at the reflection of the moon in Li Lake drove him to insanity. He believed that he was destined to eliminate all supernatural beings, as he could see them for what they truly were; he could force them to transform, and this made them vulnerable. "He possesses all special weapons and accessories to kill werewolves, vampires, witches, and anything else," he continued, his voice filled with a pain that he couldn't define through his words.

Timothy was the last to arrive, looking disheveled with his clothes torn and blood all over him. I jumped up to hurry over to him. I checked him out to make sure he wasn’t injured as he tried to reassure me that he was alright. When I was satisfied that he was, I took a step back, crossing my arms over my chest and glaring at him. He held his hands up. “I had to go into the forest to hunt. I managed to get a deer and was going back to get another when Carson showed up. He ran me off and started killing the deer.” He ran his fingers through his hair. “To be fair, I knew better.”
