I was ready. I had spent months training for this moment and I was ready. The annual Grand Hunt had finally come for this year. Until now, I couldn’t be a part of the festivities because I was too young. The age for eligibility to participate was 24. This year, it was finally my year. I’d been training since before I even qualified. I would do it; I would win. For my family. I had to. I would restore my family name if it was the last thing I’d do.

I muttered catching his attention as his head snapped towards me, his mouth hanging open "Boss….I….sent…" A guy coming into the living room talking to Wane couldn't finish his sentence as his gaze focussed on me with mouth wide open Wane blinked his eyes as he turned to the guy, "Silver leaves….." Wane said with a frown face "Yes, boss…" He replied and left, "Why are you wearing that?" Wane asked looking at me I look at myself wondering what's wrong with what I'm wearing "Is anything wrong with my clothe"

Henry slightly shook his head, clearly missing the point of what he had just said-as if he had any intention of making Daniel feel better. "Did you know that a normal bus would take twenty-two hours and twenty minutes to get to New York? But this one that we're in, thanks to Carter•Labs and their invention of the life cell, we will reach there six hours earlier," added Henry, completely ignoring what Daniel was saying, "now that's what I call excellent thinking!" "Never mind," Daniel resorted, sighing. It was already past noon when Mr. Gilbert notified everybody that they would be making a stop at Washington DC after almost seven hours of travel.

But I figured it was curiosity probably mixed with mockery and perhaps glee I was sure they would have plenty to say the minute they arrived back at home. "Matteo." Alessandro's voice close to my ears pulled my attention back to him. I glanced at him. "Yes?" I asked, brows raised. He gestured with his eyes. Mine followed his. They landed on a man in his fifties with a broad smile sitting on his face. My eyes narrowed. "This is Marco Santini,"Alessandro began to introduce, "my business partner."

Ditto buddy! “What? You can fly over the river as a wolf?” I shot. “Almost, I am one of the fastest wolves in Astoria,” Kent said. Not bragging but just like it was a fact. “Why don’t you transform and I hop on your back? I can hold on pretty tight.” I suggested. Kent turned to me slowly. He looked beyond angry. “How dare you!” “What?” I asked, confused. “How dare you ask an Alpha to be your mule? I have never, will never, let anyone ride my back.” He explained further.

I could envision myself transforming into my wolf and tearing them apart, but I couldn't, not with the Wolfsbane limiting my abilities. "Did you honestly believe you could go searching for answers and we wouldn't find out?" Vera taunted, her voice dripping with triumph. "It was all planned, Hawthorne. I saw how you connected with your butler, and that's why we had to eliminate him. We have eyes and ears everywhere," she stated as she moved closer to the table. I took notice of the wooden walls, quickly deducing that I must have been confined in some sort of hut or similar structure. The faint sound of running water reached my ears, resembling the gentle flow of a nearby stream.

"Shown by appointment." John Wilson was the agent's name. "I wonder if he's related to Asshole Wilson? I asked myself. Asshole Wilson was a guy I went to high school with. His actual name was Walter. I have called him Asshole and a few thousand other less than flattering names since I found out it was him that ruined the last month of high school and banished me from California for seven years. Asshole had wanted to take Crystal MacGreggor to the prom. He wanted her for his girlfriend. Problem was she was dating me and had agreed to go to the prom with me.

After her, two other incidents have happened and they are all happening to his spies, home and abroad. Another news had come in about a week ago, when he heard that one of his most trusted scouts, another young wolf named Eric,whom he had stationed as the head of his spies in Europe, had vanished without a trace. Eric was one who easily blended in to any place or situation, yo the point that he was nicknamed ‘Chameleon’. The man could escape almost anything, and swuftky too. The kind you never see coming until they are right behind you. He had sent out search parties, and they had basically combed through the whole city of Amsterdam. “I guess I have to go,” I said quickly. I foolishly took steps at a normal human speed. As a result, Justin managed to stop me again and get in my way. “Are you a wolvire?” Justin asked suddenly. I looked at him confused. “My name is Bara, not Wolvire.” Justin patted his forehead like he was out of mind because of my foolishness. “I mean ‘wolvire’; stands for wolf-vampire.”
