Something indecipherable flashed across his eyes, and he clutched the straps of his backpack tighter before he said, "Hannah, have you ever seen my drawings?" "I'm worried that Mr. Yakes won't like my drawings," Kaden explained as he gripped the straps of his backpack. His youthful face was marred with anxiety as he continued, "Hannah, could you take a look at my drawings and give me some pointers?" At some point, the Winchesters had determined that Hannah was all-knowing. As such, it wasn't odd for them to ask her for help on anything and everything. "Of course," Hannah replied cheerfully.

"Can I see?" His eyes widen in what looks like panic. "No―I don't really let people see my drawings," he mutters. "Please Jax?" I plead. He bites the inside of his cheek making me sigh. "I'm not going to judge or anything, I just want to see." He takes a deep breath. "Okay fine," he murmurs, handing me the sketchbook. I flip it over and my breath catches in my throat. My eyes widen as my fingers trail over the drawing, careful not to smudge the pencil. "It's me." The detail is insane. I couldn't have been in the water for more than ten minutes.

In the second-floor nurseries, I drew the Moon Goddess standing over three wolf cubs in one, I drew the Moon Goddess standing over three baby dragons in another, then I drew the Moon Goddess standing over two sleeping baby dragons and one sleeping wolf cub. My raised eyes began to furrow, I started to think of anything he could possibly discuss with the moon goddess. "The hunters are not to be trusted, Elena. They are malevolent, evil. In the end, I think they turned out great. Not that I knew what the others were for but there was also a frog on a log, a humming bird and a fat Cardinal. The very last one I was drawing was for Arlo. He got those picture for us, or more for me. It was of a wolf. It’s head was downward with his teeth showing. The hair was standing straight up with a human skull under it’s paw. There wasn’t any flesh on it, just the bones. Originally, I was going to make it a dead rabbit or something but this seemed appropriate. Keeping this one black and white, kept some of the mystery alive. “Charlotte??” Waylon yelled as he was coming in.

“Teacher said mine was the best!” Dr. Xavier unfolded the paper— And felt cold sweat pour down his back. In the drawing, a man was holding a knife, stabbing it into another man’s neck. Red blood splattered across the victim’s face. His breath caught. “Where did this come from?” he demanded. “Where did you get this picture?” The boy burst into tears. “I drew it in class!” Dr. Xavier didn’t stop. His voice sharpened. “Who told you to draw this?”

I had a feeling the boy was mocking me. Hunter and I were becoming best friends soon. He brought me a cake and some delicious food from the land called biscuits. We star-gazed at night, we colored his book together with the crayon weapons and I would help him pick up shells. He was a very picky boy, and liked to take only the shinier and the unique ones. “Look, Blue. I drew something. Can you guess?” There a round blob of orange and some scribbles of blue on top of it. The blob also had a smile.
