I stood in front of the double doors before swinging them open. I was greeted by a crowd of people, in all black. I don't think they're from around here. The guy in front seemed to freeze when he saw me. His grey eyes glazed over with light and it seemed like he started breathing heavier. Did they run here or something? "Who are you?" I asked. "I am Hunter, Alpha of the Luan Pack." The guy regained his composure. "It is time for The Wanix people to make good on their pact. The Aleni have risen. The time of the prophecy is upon us."

Why had they stopped? A figure walked from the center of the hunters, a red cloak blowing behind it. Something glinted in the moonlight as it approached. Whoever it was, was small and petite. A gust of wind ripped the hood from its head and pale hair spilled out. "The Huntress," Rashida hissed, the venom in her voice causing the pack to wince. "No mercy, whatever it takes. We will wipe them from this place. Now!" She howled a blood-curdling shriek. The pack joined, their voices intertwining to create one eerie low that echoed through the night.

“Don’t take this the wrong way. I’d ask someone else if I could but you’re all I’ve got. How come hunter-wolves are considered to be so powerful?” Tucking his hands into his pockets, he smiled. As if gathering his thoughts, he took a deep breath with a hint of amusement in his eyes. “First, you can mind link with anyone; wolves, Lycans, Dracans, and humans. Stronger hunters can bend others’ will. If you take away their strength and tenacity, their biggest gift is their will. Aworyn calls it the will to live and that’s how they compel the Dracans.”

They’re using moon magic to send it back and forth. One of them notices me watching. “You want to play?” he asks. I’m surprised by how friendly and welcoming his tone is. “That’s okay,” I say. “I don’t really know how.” “You’re the one Wilder brought back, right?” the guy says. I nod. “I’m Hax,” he says. “Milo.” “Good to meet you.” It’s like he doesn't even care that I’m a hybrid. Or maybe he doesn’t know. Maybe Wilder and the High Sorcerer aren’t spreading that part around just yet. It would make sense. I’d probably keep it quiet if I was in their position.

“All we ask is that you don’t kill him. He is to become our pack’s next beta now that his cousin is deceased.” I growled. “Fine! I will not kill him, but I will hurt him. I can’t promise he’ll be able to move for a few months.” They glanced at each other again, and I was even more irritated by their silent conversation. When I took a step toward them with my teeth bared, a younger man, a few years older than me, stepped out of the shadows.

Akihiko was shocked on seeing the kid speak that way to the man in front of him and he says- “Kids aren’t supposed to talk to elders that way! Shame on you! And what kind of parent are you, letting your child talk like that?” They both start laughing on hearing him say that and the man says- “He isn’t my kid… He’s just a brat who works with me.” “Even though I look like this, in reality I am 25 years old. I’m just letting you know. “Oh, right. Before all of that, I had to introduce ourselves. We both are part of the Hunter community and we specialize in hunting creatures from stories.”

Hector says as he holds him by the arm. The man looks down at his arm, making Hector retreat his hand quickly. "My name is Hunter Black. Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack of the North. You enslaved my sister. I am only here to take her back. Your death and the downfall of your pack are not of my concern." he says, making Alpha Hector DiMarco's eyes widen in shock.

Harvey looked at Dominic and asked, “ You dare to put your hands on what’s mine? Give me a good reason. Mariana explained with a heavy sigh. “A hunter bitch left a trap in the old mall the clan lives in? And you said this was over a month ago?
