Alex I cracked my knuckles, feeling a little bit anxious about the whole thing. I was relieved that Kai is helping me, obviously, but I couldn’t help but be worried still. Hunter's POV The battle was getting out of hand. Time and time again, we were being attacked by warlocks who would shapeshift into different creatures. They were stronger than I had anticipated, but I managed to tell the difference between Warlock and Santiago. Just as I thought we were done for, Santiago shifted back to a minotaur again, charging toward me. "Hunter, watch out!" Alarick yells, holding his hand out. "Not today, asshole!" I hear Axel suddenly come into view. He charges behind the minotaur, jumping into the air, grabbing the monster by the horns, and pulling him down.

Chapter 9 We both slid into the booth, sitting across from Deacon’s brother, Hunter. He was very good looking and the total opposite of Deacon. Hunter had shaggy, black hair, and piercing blue eyes like ice. Unlike Deacon’s broody demeanor, Hunter was very outgoing and happy to be around other people. He was certainly a lot taller than Deacon by a good five inches. Hunter growls low in my head at her intentions as he increases his hearing and listens. “Let's get rid of His Highness first and then I will deal with her personally.” “I want her when you’re done. Please.” As he steps back, she nods and returns her attention to me, but my attention is now on the Alpha Male standing next to her. I link with Griffin, “Griffin. Hunter is extremely agitated and I need your help to calm him so that I can get into the Alpha male's head. Can you help?” “Of course...”
