.Lyn POV. I continued looking into the fire at least enjoying the moment away from any kind of bully, torture and teasing. I have always loved this moment of just being here doing nothing but just looking in the fire. It is my favorite thing. How ever I don't always do it because not everyday that I be at such a spot. I have always loved that I at least one day go out with mom camp and then sit by the fire enjoying every bit of life.

I may not have much but I'd like to keep a hold on my dignity. I kick a small pebble that skitters into the darkness of the pavement as I walk down, I hear festive sounds coming from the pub at the end of this street but I ignore it. No use hoping to have something you never will. Even though I have magical blood, I'm a fire slifer. I have no clue how to harness my power so it's basically useless. I've only had one or two incidents of nearly burning a house down but other than that I feel basically human.

I take a breath, letting the cold winds freeze the water along my skin, chilling me to the core. I have always played with fire. Eventually, one day, I will burn.

“Sometimes I’m afraid I’ll burn everything down. You. Us. This… whatever fragile thing we’ve built.” Aiden shook his head, a faint smile ghosting over his lips. “You’re fire, yes. But fire doesn’t only destroy—it gives light, warmth, life. You’ve saved me more times than you know.” He leaned in, his lips brushing hers with the gentleness of a vow. “If you burn, then I’ll burn with you.”

Haven't since—" She paused. "For a while." She thought about it another second. "Swimming, maybe. When it's cold enough to feel it." She glanced at him. "That's probably strange." "No." He shook his head. "I get that. The cold water thing. It's like—it makes you real again."

“Thrill is fire. It will burn you.” “Burn? I play with fire, woman. Many have burn but not me. I always win especially in mind games.” She could smell the liquor in his breath mixing with hers. Havana made her drink before she had an argument with their father. Her gaze cloudy as her vision, one thing she was sure of. This man is hot, maybe a little taste won’t hurt. Cinthye slithered her tongue to play with his, teasing and testing him. Sensations overwhelmed their bodies.

Mine. “Mate.” I said, with a voice of longing. Willow’s hair started floating like an unseen force was causing it to rise. Hot air was flowing from her, and I felt like the final piece to my puzzle was about to be placed. Following her instinct, Willow held her palms up to meet mine, her entire body ignited like a torch. Blood red flames mixed with no other colors as it surrounded her. Her fire burned like mine. It was as if heaven and hell opened up and poured power down onto us. Our flames intertwine around each other like a cyclone. Blue and red were blending, turning so hard and fast that everyone around us was nothing but a blur.
