His face is half rotted off, and bones stick out of the decaying flesh of his fingertips. He makes a dive for me, and I hold out my hand, putting up a shield of energy.

As life slipped away, I found myself utterly alone, accompanied by nothing but the endless darkness. It felt just like—death.

I walk through the crowd of people conversely to see the source of danger and my eyes almost bulges out. Zombies swarm across the hole from above the leaking ceiling of the base.
