I Became The Sacrificial Princess Novels & Stories

“But we are at war.” “An unfounded war based on lies!” I scream as I fail to keep my responses calm and measured. “Those are my people he is killing, Tritus. MY people! I am their princess. Not just of the Terran realm but also as the Queen Ascendant of the Celestial Realm. Those ‘half-breeds’ represent both worlds. I represent them both. And he’s just killing them?”

A bright glow emanates from the baby and a collective gasp fills the hall. "A healer has been born to all the supernatural beings. Behold, a child born of a pure soul. A child born to a woman who suffered the most atrocities of life but remained pure. All the torture, pain, hurt, and abuse could not dampen her love nor cloud her pure heart. She chose forgiveness, over vengeance. She chose love over animosity. No matter how bad the blows were, Summer remained the indestructible princess that she rightly is. All hail our universal queen!" "All hail the Queen!" The End

) ” Yes, I am,” I answer frowning. “You are hereby obligated to take part in the sacrifice ritual to the Sea Kingdom today,” the guard's command. I look at them confused I have heard of the ritual, but I thought only high-born women were considered good enough to be sacrificed. “Surely there is no need for a poor orphan girl to take part in that?” “All women on the age of 18 are to be presented to the King of the Sea, you are no exception,” the guards say. One guard grabs me by the arm and takes me outside. He shoves me in a waiting carriage.

“Are we sure this is the right girl?” I looked back at the crowd looking at me. They all looked so, well, normal. Which after Mad Max and the creepy twins I wasn’t expecting. “She may not look like much but she is the one. She is the lost princess and the doom of us all.” The twins reassured to crowd. “Tonight, we shall all bear witness to the ceremony to sacrifice the princess in order to save us all. You are all going to be part of history and see something special. The moon goddess will bless us all for correcting her mistake!” Sacrifice, called it.

“I did not realise that you knew of your condition.” “It is new to me,” I admitted. “And, so very complicated,” I added with a sigh. “I think I also understand ‘the sacrificial lamb with a dragon’s heart has to learn to roar to win the war’. It is what a princess is, after all. A sacrificial lamb. Raised to be helpless and sacrificed to man’s ambition in every possible way.” There was a long silence, during which the lute did not play. “I’m sorry,” he murmured. “I have never thought of princesses from that perspective. Or of your position in this, from that perspective.”

I thought that was just a rumor so I never paid attention to that "Okay" I smiled at calix reassuringly to make his worried face bright After saying those words, I immediately prepared myself to get a contract with the spirits by walking through the altar and said, "Our beloved spirit, Give me your grace" a light struck to me and woke up in a familiar place or to be specific, the palace. I was seeing myself or rather the real princess lalaine on the novel. She was currently infront of lots of people and being killed by calix while his father was watching.

“Are you ready?” “As ready as I can be.” “Here we go.” We walked to the top of the staircase. My father nodded to a servant to the side of the stairs. The man tapped a rod onto the stone floor. The clinking echoed off the walls, and everyone in the room turned and looked up at us. “Presenting Princess Sophia Larins, daughter to the King.” I placed a smile on my lips and held it. My father whispered in my ear. “No going back now.”

However, they imprisoned me without telling me the reason why. All throughout my life, I have never seen the outside world and the only way I could entertain myself was reading some books. Until one day, everything has changed. On the very birthday of my father, King Solomon, King Abaddon showed up despite being uninvited. I tried to scream, but someone chuckled in the background. “Finally awake, princess?” the voice asked in a mocking tone. I tried to decipher if she was calling me a princess because she knew that I was really a princess. We were surrounded by trees. The sky was grey, and there was no one in sight. “Who are you?” I asked, as my memory started flooding back. There was a woman here. She said they had come to sacrifice me to the goddess. It couldn’t be. The Goddess wouldn’t do something like that. She finally stepped out of the dark place she was hiding.
