I leaned back in my chair and rubbed my eyes. Then my phone vibrated, I opened it to check, and discovered it was a message from an unknown number. I opened it, and my blood ran cold. A single photograph filled the screen. It was me, standing outside the Adam Research Institute earlier that day, holding my stuff against my chest. Beneath the picture was a message. Three simple words. "I found you."

But it still happened. I was amused for a moment when I felt the now sudden cold wind blowing. Whether it was morning or afternoon wind, I’m not sure. As far as I know, I hugged myself, and that’s when I rightly noticed a figure standing not far in front of me. "Arabella," I heard him say. It was a man's voice and it was so sweet to hear his voice. I am not the only one with such a name in our family. In fact, my mother took my name from her twin sister who passed away a long time ago.

Her eyes were shifty and she gripped my shoulders tightly, “Where have you been, I've searched everywhere for you.” It's not like anything bad happened, I just went on a toilet break She slapped her phone in my face before I could even reply. My eyes widened as I stared at the post on I*******m, “What the actual–”

He didn’t ask for her number, didn’t try to impress her, didn’t hint at anything. And yet… There was something about him that felt real. A rare thing in her world. Her phone buzzed. Tomi: Babyyyyy how was your day? I’m bored, entertain me. Amira smirked and typed back: Amira: I met someone. Three dots popped up instantly. Tomi: WHAT??? WHO??? HOW??? WHEN??? DETAILS NOW. Amira rolled her eyes and typed: It’s nothing. Just a stranger who helped me in the rain.

“She went down toward the cafeteria a short while ago.” I took the stairs instead of waiting for the lift. The movement sent fire through my ribs, but the need to find her burned hotter. The ground floor opened in front of me, bright lights and the low hum of visitors. I scanned the open space near the café. Then I saw her.

I put my mental wall up which I had been practising with my mother throughout the years. “I’ll be right back” I run of towards to the bathrooms and yep.. I vomitted. Typical. I go somewhere new and the first thing I do is vomit. This is not how I planned for this to go. I walk out of the bathroom stall and wash my face with cold water. I walk back out and see Elder Michael has our bags on a trolley and we are able to leave. “All good?” He asks, showing some genuine concern for how I’m feeling.

I know I should tell them where I'm going but I just need to be alone for a while. Drake and Archer find me at the park an hour later. Not sure if my family realized I was gone this late or they were giving me time to cool off. I'm trying to perfect the forward flip off the ramp but I'm having a hell of a time perfecting it. I can't land it, not once.

William asked. “Not really. I was too focused and full of adrenaline. Besides, I never wrong myself. I would spend a few days in a hotel enjoying their spa, eating all the feel-good foods, and recharging. Or I would go to a beach or someplace new.” “Did you miss me?” William asked. “I missed you. When we were apart, I missed you so much. When I sent you my location pings, those were the times I missed you so much I could not take it anymore.”

I whispered, “He’s older.” Then the screen went black. And a message appeared. You found me. My phone immediately buzzed. Unknown number. One message. Now find out why I came back.
