He was just like any other man. As she tried to sleep, she heard someone call her name. she sat up in the deathly silence, trying to hear the imperceptible noise again. It came again, but then she realized with a jolt that it was coming from inside her head. It was Nicklaus.

Her blood and price on the slave market were higher this way. “We’ll get rid of the marks, I promise. Here, get dressed. There is food waiting for you.” After a few minutes, I tucked the girl into a clean, warm bed, handing her the food afterward. It consisted of simple porridge with fruits and tea. “Eat.” Making myself comfortable in a chair I watched her every move until she put the tray aside. “Good. Now, tell me, what is your name?” “Jo- Jocelyn.” she stuttered after some time, though I almost missed the sound.

Tired of crying, she called into a ball at the base of the trench and awaited her fate. And then, out of the blue, she heard her name. Her head snapped upwards, her ears straining to catch the sound over the howl of the wind. When the sound of her name didn't come again, she assumed her mind was playing tricks on her. But then she heard it again. The voice sounded familiarly like Henry's voice. Suddenly filled with hope, she got up and walked towards the edge of the trench. And Henry's voice came again. "Aurora!"

MIA POV I barely make it to my locker the next morning before the whispers start. Heads turn. Phones get pulled out. Someone actually snickers “virgin Mia” loud enough for the whole hallway to hear.
